Fantastic property - each room is unique and set higgledy-piggledy high up above the town so the views from the pool and the patios beside each of the rooms are fabulous. The rooms have been cleverly and sympathetically designed and the grassed pool area is lovely too. It was great fun being picked up by the hotel tuk-tuk from beside the church where you leave your car and whisked a couple of minutes up to the hotel reception. Highly recommend!!

A beautiful property in a beautiful city. The hotel surroundings are fantastic. We arrived without our luggage and the hotel manager went far above and beyond what anyone could expect to support and assist us. We were very comfortable and enjoyed every minute.

It is fair to point out that there are a lot of quite steep steps in and around the hotel. This didn't affect us at all, but might be worth bearing in mind if you have any mobility issues.

Such a unique place to stay, one of our all-time favourites. This a historic palazzo, rennovated with amazing taste, care and style. U feel immersed into history and to live in a fairytale. Super friendly team and always cheerful Alessia is a star. Her support went well beyond the expected in difficulties connected to our arrival due to airport closure. Loved the fact that the pool was accessible 24/7 and that the room in a cave was so unique and super fresh even when it was 44 degrees outside. Certainly coming back very, very soon for a longer stay!

To reach the perfection, I'd be nice to have the bar next to the pool functional at least in the afternoon, or put up an "honesty bar" with some prosecco, wine, beer and soft drinks to enjoy the incredible location to the fullest. Also some new loungers and more comfortable garden furniture would be awesome as noticed by other rewiews, but this is really the only area of Hedone that is not pure perfection.

5 ***** room in a unique location on the side of a cliff built into the mountain. Scicli is a beautiful little town. Staff is lovely.

On our 6-week trip in Europe this was supposed to be the (most expensive) hotel highlight, however my expectations were not met. I booked the hotel carefully due to the extraordinary services mentioned & pool facilities in a quaint Sicilian town in the height of summer. We like arriving to cool off in the pool with a cocktail from the pool bar. Oops, no pool bar or any drink service in the hotel & the outdoor pool was so small & cloudy it was a health risk. Poof. A small bar would be so easy to set up in the space offering cold drinks, beer, wine. We saw other guests camped out on the grass with their own warm bottles; a shame. I received several emails regarding parking at the church & the great luggage pickup service (which was appreciated— but the services ended there) however they failed to warn us reservations were mandatory at all the prime restaurants for dinner. We walked excitedly into town & every restaurant they suggested on the list they gave us was “full”. Very disappointing & frustrating & so easily avoided. I have made many prebookings in Sicily but was unaware in Scicli. No excuse for this. The last day we opted to dine at the sea for dinner — out of sheer frustration—then received notice we had to return by a specified time to pay for our stay! The hotel’s policy! The scheduling was brutal. We would prefer to pay at checkin & be unburdened by the hassle. The final straw was when we returned to the hotel at 9pm on a Saturday night to not be able to find a single parking spot in the entire town! The Manager was very kind trying to help us, staying late & running to look for spots, but in the end after 30 minutes circling & circling we finally lucked out 1/2 mile away, exhausted. This hotel was way too difficult for us & we’re pretty easy worldwide travelers.

This is a hotel you need to experience if you are in the area. The staff was very serviceminded and did everything in their power to make our stay as comfortable as possible. This made the stay much better than expected. The rooms were nice and uniqe and the bathrooms were modern in standard. I would defently recomend staying here.

The hotel is one a hill over the town, so you need to be able to walk a pretty steep hill every day if you stay here. The hotel itself contain quite a few stars so its not a hotel for people in really bad shape or that have truble walking.

Collected and returned by Ape from/to station. Lovely distinct property carved from limestone cliffs. Staff very friendly and helpful. Excellent breakfast. Loved our stay. Pleasant gardens and cooling pool .

No complaints at all

Superb restoration and development created from a collection of linked properties. Beautifully fitted out with quirky pieces of furniture in rooms created from caves in some cases. The garden was great for some sunbathing and the plunge pool good for cooling down; the 'indoor' lap pool was a bonus for a swim. Staff were lovely and very helpful when we had mislaid a bag on our journey. Breakfast was good with plenty of choice. Access to the hotel with luggage involves a piaggio ape up a very steep narrow street - great fun! Very centrally situated in the old part of Scicli, ideal for joining la passegiatta in the evening.

Bed and pillows could have been more comfortable. The number of steps involved in reaching the hotel and moving around it could be a challenge for people with mobility issues but they added to the character of the hotel. And made sure we reached our daily step target!
