The Host was amazing and the Villa is Perfect for a Vacation

Beautiful, serene, stylishly decorated, and pristinely clean villas, with a tranquil setting, yet close to the bustling beach of pantai cenag. Our host was wonderfully attentive, with so many helpful tips and recommendations. We are a family of 5 with teens and we felt completely spoilt by the fantastic traditional Malay breakfasts which changed every day and the general comfort of the villas with brilliant AC that was a welcome relief after the heat of the day. The complimentary laundry facilities was also a great bonus.

We booked three rooms for our family and could not fault our stay at Sanctuary Resort Langkawi. From the moment we arrived, everything was fantastic.
Our room was MASSIVE – incredibly spacious, comfortable and spotlessly clean. The kids had a seperate “Villa” with connecting rooms to each other, and both of their rooms were also huge, giving everyone plenty of space and privacy. The beds were comfortable, everything was beautifully clean, and we genuinely had nothing to complain about.
The swimming pool was another highlight – warm, beautifully maintained and absolutely spotless. It was a lovely place to relax and the kids thoroughly enjoyed it.
But what really made our stay special was our host, Chiew. From the moment we arrived, Chiew was amazing. He was so welcoming and helpful, sharing his local knowledge about where to eat, what to see and who to arrange tours through. His recommendation for our ATV tour was excellent and made organising things so easy.
And the breakfast! We enjoyed freshly cooked local Malaysian breakfasts, along with delicious bakery items, fresh fruit, yoghurt, juice and coffee. There was honestly so much food that we couldn't finish it all. Everything was fresh, generous and delicious.
We had read some reviews mentioning that the resort is a little far from everything. If you were planning to walk everywhere, then yes, it probably is — but for us this was absolutely not an issue. Grab was easy to arrange, and we also had a hire car, so getting around was simple.
The location is quiet, and peaceful, with a field of beautiful wild buffalo directly across the road.
We would 100% stay here- this one of our favourite stays in Malaysia. Highly recommended!
