Exceptional

It's a beautiful place, with a wonderful garden and a great little swimming pool, with enough place for swimming and cool bar chairs in the pool. A nice room with a well equipped kitchen. The host was extra nice and friendly - he contacted us about things we have left in the place and made sure we get our stuff back . Thank you!!

Architecturally unique and spacious cabins and very helpful staff.

Spacious and uniquely designed cabins. big windows without curtains facing the forest. we spent 3 nights and loved it. big plus is also that it is close to Wilson’s botanical garden. The staff are very kind and helpful. The kitchen offers good quality meals. We stayed in cabin 4, which has the most quiet location.

We loved the place. Only suggestion is that the floor of the cabin could be cleaned better, which is easy to do.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Buenas Brisas and would love to stay there again.

The casita was perfect with everything we needed to cook for ourselves if we wanted to and plenty of breezes coming through the screened windows. there is also a fully furnished, nice covered terrace for sitting outside. Loved the pool! Perfect for swimming laps or just relaxing. The hosts Alain and Johanne are lovely people, very helpful and attentive. Walking distance to the Village of Ojochal.

Very noisy construction work on site and next door

Beautiful place and pool - when everyone around has finally finished construction it WILL be very nice

Too much noise and construction running from dawn to dusk. The owners should let you know that their neighbours are constructing and that they are also, or offer the rooms at a far reduced price with full disclosure until the works are complete. We felt like we were staying on a building site and it is far from relaxing experience and would definitely not stay there in those conditions - or for the price

Beautiful property, friendly host, lacked privacy and quiet.

The property is beautiful. Room design, landscaping, pool are totally smart and gorgeous. Very comfortable. Fully equipped kitchen, comfortable bed/towels.

The two units are directly next to each other allowing no privacy. You can hear conversations, music playing; pool feels full with one couple in it. I could have a simpler hotel/hostel room for the same amount of privacy. Property would be ideal for two couples on vacation together. This is more about the other guests staying there, as they could have been more respectful at 7am, not so much the place itself. For me, I really enjoy quiet and privacy, especially in the mornings. If you’re there alone, it would be perfection!

A flawless paradise. Everything was beautiful.

A beautiful paradise on a hill near the coast. Everything was done so well. The casita’s were perfect with beautiful attention to detail and solid, well thought construction. With a terrace, hammock, clothesline in back, and pool with an outdoor bbq and kitchen area to use. Wake up to birdsong, sunshine, and beautiful gardens. Our hosts were lovely, helpful, generous, and fun. We would hope to return again!

We would love to come back anytime!

Fantastic place, wonderful hosts who are very kind🥰 The garden is breathtaking and the pool is perfect for relaxing, the apartment is very spacious and well equipped, nothing was missing. There are shops within a few minutes drive and we have received great recommendations for restaurants from our host. You can also watch a wonderful sunset for a few minutes ♥️ We went to Uvita from here, we loved to come home here, the sound of nature is wonderful.

A great place to stay in Ojochal!

Everything about this stay is very nice at a minimum. In the outstanding category I'd include the hosts, pool, internet and linens. Highly recommended!

This is really one of the nicest places we stayed at in Ojochal. A comfortable bed in a nice room, with a cosy terrace and a huge pool in a quiet neighourhood.

Wonderful and peaceful little oasis in hinterland of Ojochal!

Perfect place for a relaxing break of our 1-month travel in Costa Rica! One of the best places we have been. Easy communication with the owner Alain (online/offline). Beautiful setting with a nice swimming-pool in a beautiful garden. A well equipped (but expensive) Delishop and an excellent restaurant Citrus and a Belgium beer bar (about 10min.drive) are near by. All was fine...nothing to complain;-) Kitchen has basic equipment, but ok for basic meals.

Superb

We absolutely loved the property, it’s so gorgeous and beautifully maintained. A perfect harmony between comfortable and amongst nature. Fairly off the grid and tricky to find via GoogleMaps but worth it for the quietness. With only 2 cassidas on the property, everything feels very private. The hosts live on the property as well so are available to help with any request. There’s a very nice pool, dining area with BBQ and a beautiful garden in the middle of the property which gives plenty of space between the cassidas. Lots of grassy area to work out and clothes line to do laundry. My favourite feature is that the cassida is actually all open air because windows have screens only (no glass or shutters) and it’s so nice to hear all the animals and insects in the morning. You feel like you’re sleeping outside. Alain and Johanne are incredible hosts. I got to practice my French with them, met their pet dog, two chickens and baby chick. We were here for surfing and the beach, in which case, be prepared to drive a little further to Dominical.

The only issue is the internet, which you need to stay by the pool in order to get good connection, however the hosts mentioned that fibre optics is coming shortly to the area :)

A little paradise.

Great place, private location, super clean, big supermarket 5 min away, the surrounding areas are very pretty and the beach is really close by. I am Costa Rican and have been exploring this area since a few years ago and I decided to give a try to Ojochal and the whole area exceeded my expectations. The property is a little paradise with private pool, nice view, and the house has everything you need to cook. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom clean and spacious.
