most of the original furniture was apparently sold
by the owners and replaced with cheap, out-of-place items

Der einmalige, wunderschöne historische Bau und die Gartenanlage. Beim Pool wäre Schatten wichtig.
Das Personal war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit.
In unserem wunderschönen Zimmer gab es eine Entfeuchtungsanlage (zum Schutz des antiken Inventars), die alle 30 Sekunden mit grossem Lärm anging . Wir konnten trotz Hörschutz beide nicht schlafen. Das Problem war offenbar bekannt und sollte in der Folgewoche behoben werden. Das hat uns den Aufenthalt ziemlich vermiest.
