Perfect location to the beach and Main Street strip and it was fun to walk over the railway every day. Great aircon and lovely room in general, it was great having a fridge and nice having a desk. Comfy bed, hot water in shower and access to a kitchen. Hosts were friendly and parking available too

Has all the potential to be amazing. It’s a beautiful building with a very nice room overlooking all the beautiful trees. That’s all you need right?
Slightly frustrated, We arrived at 10am, intending on dropping our bags off. The lady took us upstairs and she seemed shocked when room wasn’t ready. We were told to wait downstairs and the room would be made up. After 15 minutes, ready.. we checked in to what seemed like a room which only had the bed sheets changed and had been left with the typical mess a previous guest would leave. Dirty sink/toilet, dirty cutlery, dirty floor, sand in fridge etc. We resulted in asking for our own cloth so we could give the room a wipe down.
Other issues: unsafe balcony rail, WiFi didn’t work for 2 days, no hot water, toilet issues, shower drain half blocked causing the bathroom floor to hold water. For me, all small issues but they do add up to a less enjoyable stay. We also had a bat in our room on two seperate occasions.
FINALLY, we were woken at 10pm by loud knocks on the door with a man trying to get in saying there’s a water leak. We didn’t answer as it could’ve been anyone. 10 minutes later I went down and the lady owners husband stormed off seemingly annoyed at me, to retrieve his son as they wanted to look at this urgent water ‘leak’ which wasn’t ideal as it was now 10:30pm. (It was the toilet gurgling because it takes 2 hours to re-fil).
Short term issues and the other guests probably won’t have the same experience.

We loved the room, location and host! Room was super cozy and nice furniture, compfty bed and big bathroom. Super close to beach and restaurants!
On Saturday night some nearby restaurant had high party music until 5-6am which kept us awake,, this is nothing the host can do anything about but good to know if you are a light sleeper
