Nice, clean and cosy accommodation in a lovely quiet location but only a short drive away from Llanelli and cross hands and all their amenities.

We managed to secure the cottage at an excellent price (less than £60 per night) and love that the price includes pets. We informed the owners that we would be arriving late at night and the cottage was warm, welcoming and well lit when we arrived. It was tidy and clutter free and smell-free. The Welsh cakes and tea-making goodies (including milk) were very thoughtful. The kitchen was very well equipped - including gas oven/hob, kettle, toaster, ninja air fryer (which was very clean) and a washing machine. There were lots of cooking utensils in the drawers which made cooking a breeze. There were plenty of clean bath towels and the downstairs bathroom was lovely. The soft furniture (sofa and beds) were reasonably comfortable. We very much enjoyed our stay and were always cosy thanks to electric fire and felt safe.

The property was quaint and had lots of great features (fan heater, plenty of lighting, fully equipped kitchen), but would benefit from some extra touches. • The cleaner needs to pay greater attention to detail - i.e. the plastic drainer was dirty, there were old water stains in the cupboard under the sink, the compost bin was dirty and there was damp behind the bedside table in the spare room. • The dish sponge provided was old and dirty, the kitchen drainer needs to be bigger and better (to actually hold plates) and a cutlery drainer is essential. • The downstairs bathroom sink drained very slowly and on our last day, my partner realised that the plug had fallen down the sink (some time before our stay). He fished it out and it was understandably very dirty, which tells me it had been an issue for some time. • We opened up the pull out bed on the sofa to see what it was like and it was full of crumbs. • The bins on the grounds (recycling boxes, dog poo bin) was overflowing when we arrived and remained full throughout our stay. • The WiFi was somewhat poor and there was very little signal in some rooms. • The drying function on the washer/dryer was almost pointless - it took so many cycles to dry the towels before leaving. • The property isn't entirely dog friendly and there is a leaflet in the living room which provides some ground rules that weren't clear when booking. No dogs on furniture and to be on leads outside due to the owner having dogs. The front garden isn't secure for escape artists - the gate doesn't close and the walls are low. It wasn't an issue for us but could pose a safety issue for some dog owners. Despite the above, we would still return for the right price as the cottage was excellent value for money when we booked (less than £60 per night). The feedback provided is intended to highlight some easy fixes for the owners, and hopefully to help fellow dog owners make an informed choice about booking.

The location of the property was beautiful - in the midst of the countryside and a half hour drive from Gower Peninsula (which is the main reason for our stay).

The beds were uncomfortable and a mattress protector was not used. The single bed was extremely uncomfortable. The cottage could have done with a good dusting as there were cobwebs everywhere and the interior was very dated. In need of a good refurb.
