The location was so special on the rice field. The family was very welcoming, provided experiences beyond what I imagined I was welcomed to so many different experiences. I felt very grateful to be a part of this stay. Dewa and his wife and Jarni were so kind.

Locationally, the Demank hidden guesthouse is roughly 15 minutes from Ubud centre. Tucked away through one of the side streets that leads to a secret haven. The guest house backs on to multiple rice fields, where the only sounds are the birds and nature surrounds. The perfect atmosphere for a peaceful rest/ mediation or pit stop in your travels.

De kamer was schoon en degelijk voor de prijs. Over het algemeen erg vriendelijk personeel.
Bij de boeking stond vermeld dat ontbijt was inbegrepen, maar ze wilden ons laten betalen.
Daarnaast zijn de kamers erg gehorig. Achter de guesthouse woont een gezin wat nogal kabaal maakt, ook de honden doen leuk mee.
Onze laatste dag kwam personeel, een dame van het guesthouse, ons al een uur voor de uiterste uitcheck tijd wegkijken. Om de zoveel minuten kwam ze langs en gluurde ze naar binnen. Zeer onprettig en vooral onnodig.
Ook is het guesthouse trouw aan zijn naam: ‘hidden’. Vooral in de avond rij je er zo voorbij. Tip: kijk op Google maps en zoek naar een klein houten bordje (onverlicht) met de naam erop.
Voor de rest is het wat je van de prijs mag verwachten.
