Quirky and modern. The room was above a furniture store where some of their products were being used. Nice touches like books available for guests. Breakfast was great. Small but good quality.
Breakfast was available from 8am and as we were walking the Camino we would have liked it earlier if possible.

When we arrived on 19/6/26 a Lady called Barbara from the Ground floor soft furnishings shop showed us around the room on the second floor called “Leonardo” which we were staying in. She was so helpful, knowledgeable and kind. Thank you.
A Lady called Beatriz who we met in “The Humble Anchor Cafe” in the Basement of the building where we had our breakfasts was also superb and so helpful. We also had our Vegan son with us and nothing was too much trouble for his food needs too. She was there on 20/6/26 & 21/6/26. She was brilliant and such a big asset. Thank you.
When we went for breakfast on 22/6/26, Beatriz wasn’t there and all the staff were fine except one. There were two males, an older man who was fine, helpful and friendly. Unfortunately there was a younger man whose name I don’t know. I requested 2 Latte Coffees which he said weren’t included on “The All Inclusive” Breakfast menu - which is somewhat strange as this is a contradiction in terms. Nonetheless I accepted this, but this young man was rude, abrupt and unfriendly. What a shame. He put a damper on what was a terrific stay. As the saying goes - “Manners maketh man!” We left early at 2am on 23/6/26 so couldn’t have breakfast.

There was a problem with Author Guesthouse. The elevator was not working so there was no way to get to our room. The host graciously booked us at a nearby hotel, but it wasn't nearly as nice
