A beautiful resort that is very well maintained and staffed

- Very clean room and bathroom - 6 rooms available, making it nice and quiet to enjoy watching the sunset and the boats go by - Canoe available 24/7 to take you across to the roadside - Amazing and delicious food from the on-site kitchen - The staff and team were so easy to communicate with and extra accommodating

The Amazing Waterways .Just go for a walk…

Great location on the river, small boutique hotel with a pool.. Excellent staff .. especially Lakshma, also Vimal, Sabitha, all the boatmen who traversed the river when requested 24/7 Great food.. Fabulous walks around the waterways ..

Could have more cushioned lounges by the pool ..

Host and staff were super friendly and helpful. Little canoe takes you over the river and is available all time to go in and out.

Great stay in front of backwater

Sabita, Lekshman and the boats crew were all very nice, very helpful and arranging for all kind of activities (kayak, massage, restaurant, transportation…). The location in front of the backwater is amazing. Swimming pool is nice.

No hot water in the shower, beds are not very confortable (too soft), AC motor outside of the room and water fountain were a bit noisy at night.

Great place to relax for a few days and recharge on the trip

great location watching the houseboats go by all day AC worked great and the hot water lasted awhile food tasted great staff was willing to go to the store and get anything needed so we could just relax

the kitchen has big gaps in being able to get more than snacks around lunch and small size English breakfast also pool needs more shade

Good for one night.

Sabitha, the manager, arranged boating trips with little notice. She and the staff were very attentive and helpful. The property is clean and tidy. Passing canal boat traffic is interesting and fairly quiet. This is not a ‘resort’, more of a bed and breakfast. Two nights was too long. After a lovely late afternoon canoe trip and a dawn shikhara ride on the lake, I was ready to go. Nothing else to do unless you care to swim in the pool. Nowhere much to walk off the small property, unless you go back to town on the other side of the canal. Food was OK.

This is not the hotel’s fault because their property is kept tidy, but the amount of plastic rubbish on the land and in the water is quite depressing.

Amazing resort...amazing staff

It was a wonderful stay at Bamboo lagoon. The staff was so generous and helpful. Location is on point and food was very good. Ambience and the way they have designed the resort, it was really amazing. Most recommended resort.

Exceptional

We had a great stay at the Bamboo Lagoon resort. The place is located on the river bank. Our room was right in front so we had a beautiful view of the water and houseboats slowly passing by. Very clean rooms with required things available. Comes with toiletries, AC, a kettle, a hairdryer, fans and there was power back-up during power cuts. Clean and nice bathroom with hot water availability. The pool is clean and we had a good time there too. The food along with refreshments was quite tasty and they made it in the local way so that was a treat! They also arrange for shikhara rides at a cheaper rate if you want it and also helped us with an auto to take us around Alappey to tour sights. Charles, Jobin, Chandu and other staff were helpful and available at all times. The boat that takes you to and fro the resort and the main road is available all day when you want to go out. The whole ambience of the place is relaxing and it's a vacation well spent at this place. The entire resort is a romantic place and I highly recommend it for couples for quality time.

Great view, comfortable, clean, excellent staff

The location of this place was lovely - right on the water. We arrived quite late at night and were surprised to be greeted at the reception area and taken across the river on a little boat! The manager apologised as our there had been a confusion with our twin room booking and there were only double rooms available - however, he gave us 2 double rooms instead which was amazing! Rooms could do with a little updating, but were comfortable and clean. We only stayed 1 night but it would be a lovely place to relax for longer. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful and food was good.

Enjoyed our stay there , excellent location if anyone want to experience the essence of backwater.

The location was excellent , you are in a backwater island and see the house boat sailing past you while seating in the room. Nice experience. The staff was very friendly and cordial.

The property can be more clean , the rooms and the facilities in the toilets.
