Truly beautiful house in the heart of Santa Teresa. Exceptional host and delicious breakfast, with a view on the Corcovado.
It can be a bit loud during the night as the rooms are street facing. Thankfully, Maria Teresa provides the guests with some earplugs.

We couldn’t rate this stay any higher! Staying at Maria Teresa’s beautiful home was a unique, fun and vibrant experience that was unforgettable. We felt like part of the family, met fellow travellers from other parts of the world and ate a delicious breakfast each day. Whether you want to explore the fantastic neighbourhood of Santa Teresa or relax in a beautiful home and garden, we couldn’t recommend this stay more, especially if you’re looking for an authentic Brazilian experience.

the views
it’s not really a hotel or a guesthouse. it’s more like an air b n b. the room I had was very small and is right next to the kitchen so there’s no privacy. plus, when I arrived late, there was a very big party happening on site. as well as that, I was kind of expected to have breakfast at the same time as other guests. while I was there, the house was used to host a party, and in the morning, she was having a business meeting with a couple who wanted to rent the venue for a party and she was more preoccupied with them during breakfast, and on the last morning, there was a photographer who was using the house for a photoshoot. there was a lot of noise constantly coming from surrounding neighbours.
