Lovely staff and the food was good.
Not the most modern pub but ticked all the necessary boxes.
Beth was super !
A bit dated but we enjoyed our stay.
A boot room would have been useful but we did hire boot dryers which was fab.

Staff friendly. Comfortable room.
Better toiletries after a long day walking. Only a small sachet of shower gel not really good enough.
Lots of flies at breakfast which could have been rectified with some fly spray!

Staff were incredibly friendly and although we were late arriving the chef still prepared food for us. Very welcome after 16 miles. The dog even got a sausage treat for breakfast.

Handy for the bus.
Compelled to order breakfast at check-in. It wasn't the best but as you have to pay for it the night before they have no interest in asking whether or not everything is ok or if you would like anything else. 08.45 was the latest I could come down for it. Nobody available at checkout so after my calling put yielded no response I left the key on the bar as I had a bus to catch. Uncomfortable bed with noise from above, below and the road directly outside so the earplugs went in. Other stops have provided a much warmer welcome.
It wasn't terrible but I've had a lot better for less on this tour.
