Stadium Hotel is a better than basic option for a one-night stay in Kumasi when the next day you must travel on.
Unfortunately the price is higher than one would like under such circumstances. Especially a meal of 100 Cedis is a disappointment. I have not answered the question about the location, since the answer depends on where you have to be in Kumasi. My problem was that there is no basic hotel between where the bus from Tamale stops (Central Market) and Accra Station. In the future I may avoid Kumasi all together as a stop-over on my way to Accra, because of all the hassle and costs in that big city. I am considering alternatives like Sunyani and Bechem.
