Warm and hospitable welcome. Spacious comfortable room with great outlook. Good facilities. Outstanding breakfast. Elegant decor. Extensive grounds which our dog enjoyed.

A firmer pillow would have been welcome.

We weren’t made aware that dinner wasn’t available until we arrived. There was no offer to book a restaurant for us. When we requested help a very average restaurant was booked. The following morning no interest was expressed in how we’d enjoyed our stay or about our dinner experience

The mattress in our bedroom needs to be changed

It is a lovely old building but opposite a large housing estate and very near an industrial zone. Only net curtains on the bathroom window which faced housing estate and unable to close shutters due to outside lights.

A lovely period house with extensive gardens and grounds. Our suite was large and had a balcony overlooking the fast flowing Vezere river. Various rooms in the main house are available to use, two swimming pools in season and a lovely breakfast /dining room if you chose to eat there. Secure parking and easy access to the suite that we chose.

Our suite had a basic kitchen with very few cooking utensils and some rather tatty pans and cutlery. Thankfully we always travel with our own ‘picnic’ kit so were able to get by. The room was dusty and had not been properly cleaned to our standards, even after a mid stay clean.
