The buffet Breakfast was excellent with an amazing choice of cooked food, fruit, cereal, yogurts and much more.
On the other hand the choice for the evening meal was limited and although nicely presented sometimes the meat was on the tough side.
The chicken was dry. however everything else was tiptop.

Troutbeck is a Zimbabwean institution, and lives up to its reputation. Although the decor is slightly dated, it is clean and the staff and service are very good. The surroundings are beautiful, and just as I remember them from a long time ago. The food was great, with very nice breakfasts, and a choice at other meals of buffet or ordering from the menu, both of which were excellent.

The view and location
They said , if electricity is gone they turn off back up Generator at 12 midnight.. Meaning after midnight there is total Darkness, why would this happen at a big place like this? After paying US 200 for a night..
I think they have to put a functioning Solar system, atleast for lights an TV
$$$$
