L'emplacement est idéal : un endroit au calme, entouré d'arbres, avec un grand parking, un lac tout proche pour se promener et de nombreux chemins de balade aux alentours. L'accueil est excellent. La chambre est grande, propre, confortable et parfaite pour se reposer.
Mention spéciale pour le restaurant qui est une vraie tuerie : les plats sont excellents, le service est rapide et sympathique, et les prix sont franchement raisonnables. Le petit-déjeuner est également très bien avec beaucoup de choix. Un superbe lieu offrant de nombreuses possibilités de sorties !

It is the only hotel on the lake, and it is an easy walk to the water and walking paths. OK hotel on a pretty nice lake. And the on-site restaurant (pricey and mediocre) means you don't have to leave the area, which was great. Free parking as well. Very peaceful once we got to the lake (hotel restaurant patio area is often busy, smokey).
As reference, we've stayed in 25 hotels across Germany, from cities to villages to getaways. So this is in comparison to those.
Room was small and only ok. Fine for a B&B, but a little expensive for the quality. Bathroom wasn't very clean (mold on the grout, dirty toilet brush, spiderwebs on the ceiling). But again, ok. Mostly "run-down dirty" not "we need bleech dirty."
We got lucky and good see the lake from our bed, but that also meant kitchen noise and smells. But we thought it was a good trade-off. Good view.
No kettle in the room, but a light breakfast was included. Cold cuts and bouled eggs. Nothing made to order. But coffee was good, and the manager (who also served breakfast) was kind, attentive, and spoke good English.
Still, breakfast could have been more substantial and varied.
Unfortunately, the person who checked us in (the only male waiter) was unfriendly bordering on rude. I assumed he was busy. But when we sat to eat an early dinner, he was not busy, and was fully rude when taking our order. We saw him several times during the stay and he was always surly. The female staff were all great though. We just didn't get to interact with them as much.
Maids knocked on our door well before checkout and did so several times.
Oh, and no fan in the room during record high temperatures. Normal for Germany historically, but these were not normal temperatures.
All in all, it was budget B&B quality, higher prices, a little unclean, and a little unfriendly. They are very busy during the summer, especially on weekends, so we definitely gave them the benefit of the doubt most of the time. I will again give credit the manager (maybe the owner) who was always attentive and kind (including a takeaway food order).
We chose the spot as an east exit from the autobahn between major destinations, and we enjoyed it for that. But we wouldn't make it a.destination. It hit 38C (100F) the day before our arrival.
