Ellon itself is lovely & the food at Buchan Hotel was fine.

Don’t stay at Buchan if you want to sleep! Loud music & shouting till the early hours both nights.

Hotel was clean and nicely decorated. Cooked breakfast was very good, including the haggis. Friendly staff. Conveniently located for visiting family and chilling at the beach. We didnt get to visit the Chocolate shop but definitely will next time!

The room (120) was lovely but Im certain I booked an extra large bed, as specified at £99 per night but our room had a basic sized double bed and having driven 8 hours, we were too tired to question it... Also there was a cooling generator outside the window so we had to keep the window closed. - not great in August. Sundays breakfast was a bit dried out and they could only offer white toast....

The staff could not have been more welcoming and helpful. The food was superb and the choice was amazing.

There wasn't anything that I didn't like.

Good location, Good Food, Great staff & Modern

Nicely located wee hotel. Staff friendly and helpful. Good breakfast and decent bar with good selection of drinks. Proper tea n biscuits in room. Didn't use the restaurant other than for breakfast but judging by it's quality I'd be surprised if the food wasn't of an equally high standard.

The noise from bar below room, traffic and people going up and down the stairs. I found it difficult to go to sleep

I would say this is an upper end 3star hotel. There ate a lot of facilities such as spa , swimming pool and sauna. Plenty of space and entertainment over the whole weekend not just the tribute night. can’t fault the staff as nothing was too much bother.

not too much really, some of the food was not as good as we would have liked but at the price it was reasonable.
