Great location for playing golf at St. Andrews. Seagulls were noisy but that is an issue everywhere in St. Andrews

Great house
Great house
This is a very nice house in a great location for visiting St Andrews. It was well equipped, clean, warm with essentials such as toilet paper and sponges etc supplied. I would highly recommend it. The only downside is the key collection, if you arrive late and have to collect from outside St Andrews not ideal, though they kindly dropped the key off with our daughter in St A so we got around that.

As I get older (47) I get more comfortable and this time my expectations were not met. The beds are narrow and squeaky. We lacked furniture to be able to sit out the back in the cozy garden. There was no coffee machine, five Swedes drink a lot of coffee, then it is not enough with a 3-cup milk frother as replacement ... There was a lamp missing at the dining area which was also quite cramped. There are problems of addition and exhaust air as well as moisture. have experienced that in other houses as well. A clear instruction to set a low heat around the clock that keeps the air a little drier would have been much appreciated. Our towels, which were of very good quality, did not dry overnight unless they could fit on a towel dryer. There was room for five people in the house but only one large towel dryer. Have been in St Andrews for nine years straight and I never had to go to pick up the key to the house or have to pay extra for someone to meet me, we will never do that again. And one final call, if you plan to visit St. Andrews during the summer, remember to bring earplugs! The place is roaring by seagulls and they like to bring noise at night.
