I stayed at this VRBO with 5 other girls and we loved it. It was clean and comfortably fit the 6 of us. It is in a great location with lots of restaurants nearby and it was only a short walk to the center of town. The view from the balcony is just as stunning as it looks in the pictures! Lorenzo was great too and made sure we had everything we needed!

This is a lovely apartment, comfortable and nicely furnished, with a balcony that has a view of the city.

First time visit to Florence. We loved the location as it was walking distance to the Duomo and other attractions, but tucked into the University area so it had a less touristy and more local vibe. Lorenzo our host, allowed us early access to drop-off our bags, which was wonderful. Place was clean and ready for us. We were a family of 5, 4 of which were women, so the only caveat is that one bathroom was not enough for us. We knew when we booked but actually experiencing it made us realize we need a second bathroom if we are a large group. I'm sure if it was guys it wouldn't have been a problem. Again, this is not a criticism, just our experience. Overall, we loved the place and the location. Looking forward to returning to Florence.

Our family of four (teenagers and adults) had a very comfortable stay here for two nights. The view from the balcony was just like the listing photo and many great shops and restaurants were within easy walking distance. Lorenzo was wonderful and very helpful, showing us how to use the elevator and how the locks worked. He even was able to meet us for a slightly early check-in. This apartment is one of a few owned by his family in this building, previously the home of his grandfather. We really liked knowing this was a family property. The furniture including beds are very comfortable and the art work in the first bedroom particularly charming. Be sure to check the balcony duomo view at night - so beautiful! We definitely recommend this place!

This apartment was fantastic. Large and airy with everything you need. Lovely balcony with the most fantastic view of the Duomo. Lorenzo was great. Very welcoming, and friendly and enthusiastic about his city. The area was just amazing, transport directly outside the apartment, close to the shops, street entertainment every day/night, mixed with the locals and tourists. Just an awesome area. Highly recommended. Ask Lorenzo about his other apartment - that too is amazing. Thanks Lorenzo. It was great to meet you and we really enjoyed Florence.

Apartment location is excellent – an easy 15 minute walk directly to the cultural & historic center of Firenze. The view from the balcony is pretty much a post-card with Duomo Cupola smack center. Weather permitting, a daily breakfast on the balcony is a must! We loved the quirkiness of the old building – the caged elevator, the forked keys, the wooden shutters and spaciousness of the apartment. Simona gave us a great overview of the place and also responded to several of our calls. Every room has an air conditioning unit, which came-in handy during hot summer days. There are two cafes directly downstairs in the same building – fantastic for getting breakfast or sitting down for a desert and coffee. There are many little restaurants on Borgo la Croce, cute little street that takes you to the historical areas of Florence. Overall, a wonderful stay in Tuscany.Observations/suggestions:Apartment noise insulation from neighbors is very poor – it seemed they were taking daily shower in our main bedroom. While the swallows in the yard were very romantic during breakfast, their greeting of the sun at 4:30 in the morning was not. Watch-out for mosquitoes in the summer time if you leave open windows. There are no new buildings in historical center – the apartment shows its age (part of the charm). Owners, don’t be shy with paper towels in the kitchen and toilet paper rolls. :) Communication with owners could be improved (faster response time and clear contact info) – maybe summer vacation time was a factor.For travelers – do NOT rely on ordering a taxi cab through the main Florence taxi service [+39 055 4390]. If we did not have a backup plan (public transportation), we would have missed our flight (the taxi never came).Thank you for your hospitality!- Vlad

Lorenzo was a marvelous host, who was helpful in answering our questions, prompt when we needed assistance, and great at providing suggestions for local restaurants. The apartment is beautiful. The terrace has a view of the Duomo, which is a great spot to watch the sunset and drink some wine. The location couldn't be better. It's a short walk to the historical sites and many restaurants via the Borgo Santa Croce. In the other direction, you can get a taste of how the locals live--including a park along the Arno and places to buy groceries. We'd stay again without hesitation.

We enjoyed this great and convenient apartment with multiple large bedrooms and a nice kitchen/dining/sitting area. It also had a balcony with a great view. The apartment looked nice and was conveniently located on the edge of the old center of Florence with a parking garage nearby. We spent an evening and day in town, and were able to walk to all the main attractions and restaurants, which is great as it would be difficult to drive in town with so many visitors roaming the streets. This apartment is a great value and the owner was great and helpful!Rik
