The location is right in the heart of the medina. The staffs are very very friendly and kind. Room is basic but nice enough as this is a small riad with small garden but it’s enough to make you feel cosy, and thank to the staffs, the riad is very clean (as i see them clean and look after the place well).
They charged my 5 year old daughter city tax for the 3 nights we stayed. Only until i get to Marrakech i learned that children under 12 don’t have to pay city tax in Morocco. So beware of this! If i knew i would have questioned them would not pay. It’s not a lot of money (9€ for the 3 nights) but i wonder why the owner does it?!

The hosts are so friendly and they have the sweetest little cat called Nakita. We asked for an earlier breakfast and they were happy to accommodate for us. The room have everything we needed. The location is ideal too.
We went in June and there is a mosque right next to Dar Dayana which mean you WILL be woken up at 5am for morning prayers. But it's worth it for the wonder place.

Very warm and friendly attitude, home-made Moroccan breakfast, comfortable rooms. Its a perfect family-run riad with authentic mood. Location is convenient and easy to find. You can park your car nearby in the parking lot: 10 min walk to the accommodation. Thank you for great time! We recommend to book :)

The riad is beuatiful. It has a nice garden and the rooms are nicely decorated, we liked particularly the style of our bathroom. The location is also good.
I know is something not easy to control but there were too many flies all around the property. Specially at breakfast time it was not nice to have all those flies around. If this is managed somehow the experience would improve a lot.

I knew when I booked the room it was small, but the corner of the bottom of the bed was a really hazard, as I still have a large bruise on my leg to prove it. The room really is for one person not two. When I mentioned this to the owner she more or less said you had the cheaper room, ( as if to say what do you expect). I did not expect a bed you have to get in and out of at the bottom. Also the call for prayers is so loud in the morning, it certainly is a wake up call, as the speaker is right next to the accommodation.

This was a lovely stay. I really liked the relationship between the owner and the managers of the property, they all worked together as partners, and there was so much respect and understanding between them and as guests, we felt privileged to enjoy the stay in such a harmonious place where there is only mutual respect and trust. Further, the room is beautiful, the garden is well looked after and the breakfast is very tasty. Essaouira is beautiful city, and this riad is do well positioned to explore this medina.

The couple who runs the place are lovely. The rad is very easy to find, and 2alleys away from the main road, in the middle of the medina
The welcome was very warm, a the, the room was ready for us, picture as the ones added in Booking.
They speak English and French, and provided a map, explaining the main spots in the city.
The breakfast is great, and the bedroom was very clean and has a heating as well.
The garden in the middle is lovely.

The Riad is centrally-located and largely run by a husband-and-wife team. Both are helpful and communicate well, Breakfast is more than adequate in both quantity and quality. The wi-fi works.
I had no complaints. If you are travelling by car you will not be able to park very close as the Riad is in the narrow streets of the Medina and would have to pay for a parking outside - not a problem for me as I was on public transport. The bus to Marrakech takes three hours and is pretty comfortable.

Perfect location, authentically styled riad, best breakfast we had in Morocco and amazing hospitality. The room was even nicer than the pictures! We will be back & definitely recommend
The mosque is close-by, however you will likely hear the mosque in most places you stay in the old town (based on our experience of staying in other riads too). Highly recommend this riad!

We had a very nice and pleasant stay. It’s right in the centre of the medina so everything’s in walking distance. The room was really beautiful and clean, the breakfast was perfect and the owners are so friendly and welcoming. We recommend it to anyone who wants to stay in Essaouira and we would book this Riad again if we will come back.

You get what you see on the pictures! This is a Dar with such a warm welcome and the decoration is like living in an art shop!
We got the best recommendation for the night, which made our stop in Essaouira unforgettable and the food was fantastic.

It is a nice Riad, near the fish market and the souks. The Riad manager and his wife are pleasant, making you feel welcome, helping you on any request or information search. The property and room are very clean, and comfortable. The bed is large, we had a great sleep. Breakfast was good, we enjoyed their homemade jams, it was just a little dissapointing to get baguette instead of their beautiful Moroccan bread, but I cannot really fault it. It was good in the overall.
It is a shame a beautiful old house in the Medina is somehow modernly decorated, like the picture of Marylin Monroe, or the modern plastic chairs in the courtyard, an area we loved. Their kitchen and bathroom is lovely, with tadelakt on the wall and ceiling. It is a shame the owner has not kept tradition on the details. This is a Riad that could be lovely with just a few touches.

Staff was professional and helpful, the bed was comfortable and the room was larger than we expected. Breakfast was really good and the rooftop terrace was perfect for lounging, reading and napping. The room was made up every day!
The place is located in a lively neighborhood. Three nights we were kept awake by yelling for over an hour-a man in the street. We really needed earplugs. Our last night was the worst and we couldn’t wear earplugs because we had to wake up with an alarm. This is not the fault of the lodging-just a downside to staying in the old town. The streets around the Dar are absolutely filthy as well. Internet was not as strong as we had anticipated it would be. Finally, we made the reservation at the last minute, received confirmation but no one was there when we arrived. I’m glad we had a Moroccan SIM card, or it would have been even more stressful.

Excellent breakfast, lots of breads/jams/honey, omelettes and spiced coffee. We also liked getting fresh air into our room with windows that open to the outdoors. The shower worked well with hot water but with some short cycling to luke warm - nothing too bad. We also liked that the location was very easy to find with google maps and the airport service we booked through the hotel walked us completely into the medina to the door of the hotel. This was excellent. There was a wall mounted heater that really warmed up the bed area. We turned it off before going to sleep and were good all night (in December). They let us keep our bags at the hotel while we explored the town the next day (if going to Marrakech, get your bus tickets as soon as possible). When we returned to collect our bags, they let us use the toilet, which was great before the 3 hr ride. This hotel has everything you want at a great price.
Since we had the windows open, we heard quite a bit of street noise and of course the call to prayer in the morning (unavoidable anywhere you stay). We did stay on a Saturday night. The hotel cannot do anything about these things because it was our decision to open the windows.
