Pool and access to beach and beach lounges. Access to many restaurants on Main Street. Buses outside hotel
Complimentary water in room would have been a nice gesture. Offer of advice on airport/port shuttle would have been good for weary travelers.

The location of the apartments is wonderful! it’s just a few steps away from the bus station which allows you to come and go from that part of the island as you please. The food is delicious!! And cheaper than anywhere else around here. Sofia is wonderful and super helpful with booking us a taxi to and from the airport. I will 100% return here.

The location as distance to the beach is awesome.
The facilities: pool, restaurant, shops around - great.
The room is rather small, but cozy and with a nice view from the balcony (trees around).
However, the area of the beach that is served by Frank Apartments is opened to outside tourists, as well, and it is a rather big area which makes the beach services difficult to access: too crowded, the waiters have many orders.
Also, note that the locality, Ammoudara Herakliou, does not bring justice to Crete. It is a dull locality compared to other areas in Crete, not to mention the higher accommodation costs for the entire experience. I regret moving there, even for a couple of days... just to be closer to Herakliou. Research more on the areas.

property is situated on the beach. beach is sandy and clean.
Playa bar is cool same as girls working there. you can pay at beach bar your bill once in the evening they accept cards.
Advantage of staying at this property - free access to sun beds and private swimming pool.
the room was equipped with cutlery/dishes for 3 persons. tiny balcony is enough for 2 people comfortably to fit and has drying string and few clothespins to hang your swimsuits
place had parking for fee for guests car rentals but we used public transport as part of local experience.
Trip back and forth to Heraklion for dinner or a city walk is comfortable with a city bus (buy immediately 2 tickets from supermarket for 1.5€/pp/ per ride) even airport can be reached in 45-50’ for the same price. taxi station is just 200m away

our room on the ground floor had bit issue with smell on moist
kitchen cabinet and especially bathroom
we covered hole on bathroom floor and it helped
we asked very nice cleaning lady to replace two pillows as they also had smell and she brought new ones in one minute with a big smile and no drama
hotel is very very clean to be clear about that and they have daily room service.
we even had aromatiser for the space with very nice smell. model that takes also mosquito tablets. they were missing, but we found in supermarket around the corner or bring your own mosquito tablets.
Place is surrounded with green area so normally there is few mosquitos
just apartment maybe was on ground floor and poor canalisation and proximity to sea can cause this.

Entire area it’s very clean, very near to the beach. The staff is extremely kind. Inside the studio you can find almost everything you want. The pool is very clean, the beach is very clean, the room is very clean and especially spacious. I had the room with an excellent sea view! On the beach, the sunbeds, tables and umbrellas are free of charge and very clean. The food is very good.
I had some issues with my flight but the owner of the accommodation was extremely understanding, and she found some great solutions for me, she also facilitated my car rental which meant a lot to me.
It’s a little bit far from Old Town.

We. Like everything around. A Nice clean room, the swimmingpool for kids, bus stop 50 m from the hotel. Best location to explore Heraklion and spend days on the beach. Also you can have tasty breakfast for a good price.

The location is superb! only 1 minute from Bus station. The room was ok with Air conditioner. The room size is great, not so small and has a lot of cabinets. The beach front is also very nice. There are a lot of restaurants and mini mart nearby, therefore it is very comfortable.
Just only few things not in the good condition e.g. the door gap or lock, but just only small point.

Lovely apartment and facilities. Sofia and her staff made us so welcome.
Prices of food and drink were reasonable. Food always freshly prepared and huge portions. Breakfast freshly made every morning

I'm not sure where to start. The whole stay was amazing. From the check in I was made welcome and helped with everything I needed as my stay was not leisure one. Sofia was the nicest owner I've ever met and you could tell they really do care about wellbeing of guests there. Breakfast was very good, with a view of the ocean. Also lovely views from the first floor rooms.
I definitely recommend staying here. Thank you for all your help.

Definitely the best place to stay when at Crete! This is my third time here and I'm definitely coming back. It's really easy to get to the hotel via car or bus from the airport - 20 minutes and you're on point. If you like long walks like I do you can go to Heraklion by foot by the beach, it's 40-50 minutes of nice walk.
The beach is really good, clean and comfortable with the best mountain sunset view. Rooms are spacious and clean, have everything you'd need. A lot of shops and good restaurants nearby. I also always get my breakfast at the Frank's, it's always tasty and the view by the morning sea is honestly amazing.
And of course Sophia is the most charming host I've ever met! Can't wait to see you again next time!

The room was bigger than it looked on the photo. The location was perfect – right at the beach! The bar was an excellent extra. Everyone was genuinely friendly which made the stay so enjoyable. Thank you!

Amazing location, staff and food. Location wise: it doesn't get better than having the beach bar between the swimming pool and the beach. The swimming pool is rather sheltered from the wind which provides a great option if it gets nippy for off season trips. I sure loved my morning workouts on the beach and breakfasts at the beach bar!
Staff: everyone is so friendly and approachable, always smiling and happy to help, or just to have a chat. Everything is always clean and tidy. Enjoy a mojito or a frappé, by the swimming pool or on the beach, freshly brought over to you wherever you chose to relax.
Food: fresh food every day. The chef knows I would recommend the ceasar salad any time, though his burgers are also delicious. The menu is varied and home made as and when you order. Great breakfast options to have at the beach bar for a breakfast with a view!
I lived my best life there to the point that I extended my stay by one night. See you next year!

So nice that you had a swimmingpool with the sea right in front of you. Also the food at the bar was delicious. We always ate our breakfast there.
The beer was a bit pricey. We paid 4 euros for a big beer. When we were at Rhodes, this was 3 euros ;)

Everyone at Frank's Apartments is friendly and goes out of their way to be helpful. The pool is beautiful and looks like a lot of fun for families to hang out by.

Apartment is ok, has a good price-quality relationship. It is a quite old place and all furnitures are bit old. The bed could be bit more comfortable. The pool is really good in front of the beach where you can use and enjoy the bed beaches. The kitchen is ok - no oven or micro though. The staff is friendly in general. Location is 10-15 min from Heraclion center so you would need to rent a car.

The staff is really friendly and they made us feel at home. The beach is literally in front of the apartments and there are beach chairs included. Sofia is always there if you need her and has helped us arranging the taxis. She also responded to our emails immediately.
There was a smell from the toilet. The covering sheet had some hairs on it.

The hotel is very well kept and managed. Room was in a good shape and cleaned daily. It was great to relax at the hotel’s pool and beach after hot day exploring the island.
The hostess, Sofia who is a native English speaker, was super helpful and e.g. she and her husband booked us a table in a great restaurant when we were celebrating our engagement there 🙂
Breakfast was tasty and it was served with a smile.

Second time at this apartments. Really great location - first line, their own sunloungers, many good taverns around. 10 min by car to the center of Heraclion or 15-20 min by bus. Very good pool. Free private parking. Clean room - they change towels and bedlinen every three days. Good beach bar. The choise of food is not so various, but everything was really tasty and cheape. Especially pasta Napoletana :) Higly recomend.

Great little place to stay on the outskirts of the city. Very nice people. Great access between the beach to the swimming pool to the rooms. Had some great chicken wings. Didnt order any drinks but looked like they had areally nice bar. Overall a very pleasant place to stay!
