Location. Ms. Alma the night shift receptionist is super kind and helpful and the night duty guard as well.
No free toothbrush, toothpaste, shampoo and conditioner.
The manager (the middle aged woman from 10AM to 6PM in the reception) is not approachable. She will always utter in a mocking way that you need to upgrade room so she’ll transfer you to the second floor.
The free bottled water will not be given to you automatically by the manager. The one who gave free soap and water is already Ms. Alma the night shift receptionist. Imagine, we checked in at 2PM and the free soap and the free water is already given to us at 2AM when we passed by at lobby to buy food.
No elevator. The budget price is located at the 5th floor which is unfortunate for those who booked the cheapest rate. But fortunately, the night guard on duty helped us with our baggage from 5th floor and until loading of baggage in the taxi. Plot twist, the night guard on duty is the one who searched for our taxi though it is raining. I guess the guard deserves more to be a manager or Ms. Alma the night shift receptionist.

Well located in Lapu-Lapu close to shops, restaurants and street canteens (convenient for breakfast). Busy road, it's easy to get a taxi to the airport, a Jeepney or a tricycle. I recommend a visit to the market. Many Ukay-Ukay in the evening.
Spartan bedroom. Without any decoration (painted cement) or conviviality. Furniture reduced to a shelf without a coat rack. Broken cathode ray TV. Inefficient air conditioning, very noisy that you have to stop to be able to sleep. Washroom and not bathroom. WiFi out of order throughout the stay. Competitive price, but isn't it better to pay more? Taxis don't know.
