A lovely simple house with an outdoor pool under the olive trees.

The place is in a non-touristic area, so you get to see how locals live. Short drive away from Salerno and other nearby villages and towns but you do need a car to get around. The rooms were spotless clean and the beds were comfortable. Cleaning every two days was included. The Italian breakfast (upon request and for an extra fee) was decent. They adjusted the timing based on our needs. The Sunday lunch was lovely. The swimming pool was super nice (and actually does have a shallower end for small kids) and usually just for our own use. However, the pool was crowded on Sunday by locals and apparently you need to reserve your sunbed then which we learned the hard way. That was a bit unpleasant for that moment but was quickly solved. The local dogs made our kids happy and they will be missed back at home. I can imagine you get to feel the welcome from the owners more if you speak at least some Italian. They gave us the impression of warm and lovely people but due to the language barrier we did not get to experience it fully. As such, I believe the place is perfect for Italian-speakers.

There are no kitchen facilities or supplies at your disposal. It was not promised either, so it was all as expected. However, it makes the stay rather expensive if you need to eat twice a day at restaurants (many of which are closed during Sundays and Mondays) during a longer stay with a familiy of five people. It is a bit controversial if you are a budget traveler and this is why you chose that accommodation. I would suggest the place to organize the possibility for the guests to prepare own simple meals as agriturismos usually do. An outdoor kitchen perhaps? Also, I wish there was an info package prepared in writing in English to explain the basics (breakfast, Sunday lunch, booking of sunbeds, cleaning, nearby restaurants, etc.) it would have taken a bit the pressure off from both sides due to the language barrier. There are some small things here and there that require fixing around the house to give a polished impression (e.g. shower handle, bathroom drawers, the water pressure in shower and some more). I guess, if you are not too picky, these things wont bother you too much. For example, my teenage kids were not bothered at all and would have given the place a 10/10, while I would have preferred things fixed before our stay. This is a lovely place with lots of potential with some extra effort.

Stanza ampia e materasso buono. Comodo il parcheggio davanti alla camera.

Struttura e camera probabilmente in abbandono. Assenza di wi-fi. Prese della corrente non funzionanti, assenza di un armadio, lampadine fulminate e quella sopra il letto luminescente anche se spenta. Cassetto rotto in bagno.
