I had a very enjoyable stay at Aloha Hostel. The staff were exceptionally friendly, helpful, and always willing to support guests with a smile. The beds were comfortable, the rooms were spacious, and the hostel offers a well-equipped kitchen as well as a small but pleasant backyard area to relax. The location is excellent: only about a 10-minute walk from the harbour and around 30 minutes on foot to the beach. There are also convenient bus connections nearby. Despite being on a street full of bars, pubs, and restaurants, the hostel remains surprisingly quiet and peaceful, making it easy to get a good night's sleep.
As a small suggestion for improvement, it might be worth considering replacing the paper towels with a softer variety, as the current ones are a little rough. Other than that, everything was great, and I would happily stay here again and recommend it to other travellers visiting the Algarve.

The perfect hostel for staying in Portimão.
This hostel is truly one of Portimão’s hidden gems.
It has a perfect location in the heart of the city, close to the river, bars and restaurants, all the main services and public transport, as well as the city’s main attractions.
The hostel is charming, beautifully maintained, welcoming, and exceptionally clean. The rooms, bathrooms, and common areas are spotless. The rooms are spacious, comfortable, and equipped with everything you need, except for bed curtains.
The bathrooms are well equipped and feature two showers, two sinks, and two toilets.
There is also a fully equipped kitchen, a cozy living room, and a lovely terrace.
It’s the perfect hostel for a peaceful and comfortable stay.
The staff are wonderful. Ingrid was incredibly welcoming, kind, and always happy to help, with a smile on her face at all times. The same with the other guy (sorry I did not remember the name) that was very friendly.
Another great advantage is the excellent value for money.

The doors to the showers of the shared bathroom are made out of frosted glass, so you can kinda see people shower weile brushing your teeth...
And it would be nice of the bathroom would not be cleaned at 9.00 AM while everyone wants to shower or use the toilet.
