Superb location for exploring the city - a 10-15 minute walk along the river which was traffic-free and felt very safe. Next to a large park which even in the evenings is full of families and couples enjoying themselves. Lovely veranda to sit in the evening and watch the world go by and the family's cats are awesome and mostly very friendly.
Good spread for breakfast but only instant coffee.
Really good value for money. Family-run business, host speaks excellent English and is really helpful. A couple of lovely local restaurants in the immediate vicinity if you don't want to go back into the city centre for a meal. Local area is largely residential and feels very relaxed.
Fixtures and fittings are quite tired and dated and electrical sockets need attention. It is clean, just in need of some TLC, but I think this is reflected in the price.

The hotel room exceeded our expectations. It was thoughtfully designed to provide both comfort and convenience. The beds were comfortable, and the room was quiet and very warm allowing for a great night’s sleep. The Wi-Fi was fast. The room had a quite well-equipped bathroom and the view from the window was very good (at the park). We would happily stay here again and highly recommend this room to anyone looking for a relaxing and enjoyable experience.
