I would definitely stay there again. It is a small hotel without a 24/7 reception so it took a little courage to book. Communication for getting into the place was excellent, and i could get in without any issue. Having a common seating area is nice and the room is well appointed and large for Paris standards. The beds and facilities are clean, the staff was there in the morning and very friendly and helpful.

If you are a classical hotel person that gets a feeling of safety from having staff around you at all times, this may not be for you. That being said, the door is on a street with enough light and other people so I felt OK, and I do not have mobility issues so going one floor up the spiral staircase with my luggage was not a problem, and added to the charm.

Clean, comfortable, nicely appointed, very nice breakfast and friendly staff. Amazing location!

Noisy air conditioning

Not enough lighting. I, as a 72 year old person in good shape ,tripped multiple times both coming up the stairway and down as well as arriving into the room. When we arrived there were no lights in the hallway and we couldn't see anything. No one warned us about steps. The steps were quite treacherous. In the room the lighting was not bright enough and I trip several times going down into the room because of that . The toilet light kept turning off after about 1 minute, if that much. When qe arrived there was an empty bottle of soap dispensor and an empty bottle of aerosol spray in our toilet room. There was one teeny weenie weeny little bar of soap for two people. The next morning I asked the cleaning lady for replacements. Prior to arriving we had to sign up for a breakfast time and we signed up for a laree time that was included in the choices. The first morning of our arrival we overslept because of the 9-hour difference of time and the cleaning person knocked on our door to see if we wanted our room cleaned and woke us up and we said, " Oh, we are sorry we overslept," and we asked if we could have our breakfast and she said absolutely not. One of the reasons we chose this hotel was because of the breakfasts that were included and I think we should be compensated for being woken up to get into our room to clean it (and also because all the sheets and towels were underneath our mattress for all the rooms ) ,and we feel like she could have knocked on our door just as well for breakfast. And then when we missed it we noticed there was a lot of food in the refrigerator and a bag of bread on the counter and yet she offered us nothing. I really feel like we should be in reimbursed for the missing breakfast for that reason.
