Allt var precis som förväntat baserat på bilderna och infon. Balkongen var underbar. Morgnarna spenderade vi på balkongen på andra sidan som har solen då. Fin strand där man kunde bada. Underbar gelato några meter från boendet.
Stundvis lite svårt att få tag på mat. Mataffären var någon kilometers promenad och restaurangerna hade inte alltid öppet kök. Men det är egentligen inte något riktigt problem ifall man planerar lite.

Die Wohnung ist groß und man hat wirklich Entfaltungsraum: Es gibt zwei Schlafzimmer, zwei Badezimmer, eine Küche mit Essbereich, ein Wohnzimmer. Ein Zimmer war abgeschlossen. Die Ausstattung ist gut.
Die Wohnung liegt im 7. Stock eines Gebäudes, das an der Fassade und im Außenbereich seine besten Jahre gesehen hat. Wenn man mal den durchaus abenteuerlichen Aufzug geschafft hat und die Wohnung erreicht, öffnet sich eine andere Welt: Die Wohnung ist gut gepflegt und nett eingerichtet. Die Bilder geben die Wohnung realistisch wieder.
Von der Wohnung hat man Blick in zwei Richtungen: Richtung Palermo und Richtung Strand. Den "Hausberg" Monte Pellegrino sieht man immer seitlich, das fanden wir besonders eindrucksvoll.
Zu der Wohnung gehört ein Autostellplatz innerhalb des abgesperrten Parkplatzes.
Vor dem Haus hält der Bus 731 Richtung Palermo Innenstadt (fährt ca. 10 minütig). In dem Gebäude unten gibt es eine Pizzeria und Pasticcheria. Eine sehr ursprüngliche Bäckerei findet sich im Ort, ca. drei Minuten zu laufen. In der Umgebung sind noch andere Restaurants. Einkaufsmöglichkeit (Eurospin Via Papa Sergio) ist mit dem Auto gut zu erreichen, zum Laufen so 20 Minuten.
Der Vermieter wohnt im Haus und kümmert sich schnell. Er hat auch einen Transfer vom und zum Flughafen angeboten.
WLAN funktioniert problemlos.
In der Küche ist im Prinzip alles da, aber die Anzahl der Tassen, Messer und so ist knapp.

The apartment is spacious, clean and enjoys lovely views of the ocean from both elevations. The immediate area around the apartment offers a really nice gelateria and a few shops, cafes and restaurants but is generally basic. Mondello beach is very easy to get to on the bus and Palermo itself is only a short bus ride away too.
The apartment was great value for money and very comfortable. The owner was exceptionally helpful and accommodating.
The immediate area around the apartment is pretty basic and run down in places, but it was very convenient getting around to the town and beaches so on balance we were very happy.

Great location of the apartment, view of the sea and mountains, 5 minutes walk to the beach, near the bus stop - 15 minutes to the center. Francis was very helpful, he also offers a transfer from and to the airport. Great holiday in Palermo.
