Auberge Normande

Location just off the A28 and easy access to Alencon. Parking adjacent to hotel-or opposite. (Free). A number of Supermarche's nearby. The staff were really helpful and friendly This is effectively a restaurant with rooms so you cannot access the property until 6.00pm-but no problem for us. The restaurant doesn't open until 7.00pm but they were happy for us to sit and have some drinks. The food was good, varied and reasonably priced with a choice of formulas and a la carte (+a pichet of wine for 10 euros (75cl) !) The bedrooms are a little old fashioned but comfortable with everything you need. Only French T.V channels but of little concern--just saying! Easy 4 hour drive to Eurotunnel.

Very little actually. For the price and location We were very happy and would happily come back for another overnight stay. If you want luxury , spa's and Michelin dining this isn't the place for you but for a basic clean overnight stop with good food and friendly staff put this in your travel book.
