Wow! What an amazing cottage, nestled in the most wonderful surroundings. Perched on the edge of Howden Dam means there’s lovely walks in all directions. The drive up to the house was great, taking in all the beautiful scenery. The cottage itself was just perfect. The open plan lounge, diner & kitchen was a brilliant, sociable area. The log burner gave us a warm & cosy feel. The kitchen was well equipped, we had everything we needed to cook a Christmas dinner for 7 people. The bedrooms were all lovely & our teenager loved the mezzanine. There’s 2 bathrooms & everything was sparkling clean. The garden was lovely. Although we didn’t use them there was a large fire pit, pizza oven & smoker outside (& we’ll be sure to come back to stay again so we can make use of these). If you’re looking for some peace & quiet, total relaxation in a beautiful cottage with the most wonderful walks then Beavers Croft is the perfect place.

We had a great few days staying in Abs lovely property. Ab was an attentive host, and the location was beautiful, as was the house. We made friends with the resident dogs, who are terrific with my one year old son. Ab also went out of his way to accommodate my son by bringing high chair and travel crib. My one caution would be that I could see the satellite internet being an issue if you needed to do video calls for work during your stay. Overall, highly recommend!
