Perfecte ligging. Prachtig uitzicht op het meer. Heerlijk eten op het dakterras met uitzicht op het meer. Super vriendelijk personeel. De eigenaar heeft het hotel zelf opgebouwd.
Niets. Enige puntje was de deken. Hier zat geen dekbedovertrek om heen. Na aangeven werd dit meteen opgelost :)

The owner was absolutely fantastic Support. From helping to arrive to the hotel, through clear indications what to see, by good cooking. Location and views are just fantastic.
Bathroom could be nicer but it was clean and there was a hot water.

Las zonas comunes son geniales para relajarse en la terraza.
La limpieza fatal, la habitación estaba llena de bichos (arañas, mosquitos). Telas de araña por todos lados. El baño era un poco guarro y se encharcaba una barbaridad con una simple ducha. El agua caliente dejó de funcionar al 2 dia y no nos lo solucionaron.
La mitad del personal no habla inglés y no eran de mucha ayuda aunque lo intentaban.
El restaurante del hotel (uno de los principales pros) estaba cerrado, supuestamente por problemas familiares del cocinero (bastante sospechoso).
No nos dejaron pagar con tarjeta y no estaba avisado en ningún sitio.
La cama está dura como una piedra, me levanté herniado.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Peacock. Roshi was a great host, giving us useful information about Udaipur and helping us plan our stay. The rooms are clean and ours had a lovely terrace overlooking Lake Pichola. The rooftop restaurant serves really good food and the staff are very friendly. We’d definitely stay at the Peacock again when we’re back in Udaipur.

Die Eigentümer sind unglaublich nett und hilfsbereit. Wenn man will bekommt man per WhatsApp die wichtigsten Sehenswürdigkeiten gesendet und kann sie selbst besichtigen. Das WiFi ist eines der besten die ich bisher in Indien gehabt habe. Von der Terrasse hat man einen wunderschönen Blick über die Stadt.

The view is amazing. When the smoke lifted the sunset across the lake was perfect, for which there was a lovely shared balcony. There are many steps to make it to the rooms but worth the effort. Right in the old town with plenty of restaurants to choose from. Roshi & family were very helpful.
We needed a sheet to separate us from the duvet this was supplied when requested. The shower room is very small & basic and could use a new toilet seat. A very small hot water tank so hair washing had to be quick.. The usual problem with dogs fighting at night.

I really liked this property. Excellent quality-price relation. The owner of the property and his son are extremely welcoming and helpful. They have beautiful terraces, a bar on the top with amazing views of the lake Pichola. I would definitely stay in this place if I ever come back to Udaipur. Thank you!
Nothing much to object. If the toilet had a covered shower and the mattress was a bit more comfortable then they would get my 10.

Comfortable stay with Rochi and Neena at a guest house with great hosts, excellent food ,perfect location and amazing views.

We had the most wonderful 4 night stay at this lovely guest house.
What made our stay so special was the lovely family who run the guest house.
Roshi, and his parents Muna and Neena. They were the best hosts we have ever encountered in any trip around the world. The food cooked by Neena was delicious, wonderful curries and breads. Breakfast and coffee was very nice too. We enjoyed spending time talking with Muna and Roshi. Roshi was also so very kind and helpful arranging taxis for us locally and to the airport and giving local recommendations of places to visit too. It made our stay very easy and enjoyable.
The views are simply amazing from the terraces, and we enjoyed relaxing watching the lovely views of the lake. We had lovely massages in the shop next door run by a lovely family too.
We would thoroughly recommend this guest house to everyone visiting Udaipur and we wish the family all the happiness and success for the future, we will always remember our happy memories of the Peacock Guest House, thank you 🙏

- Der Balkon war schön, aber auch Lieblingsort der Tauben (es wird aber was dagegen gemacht werden, hat man uns gesagt), nur so war er leider nicht nutzbar für uns

The hotel has the best location in Udaipur. Close to shops and wth a top flor restaurant with great views of the lake and the city palace in addition to tasty food. A small roof over one of the two restaurant floors was perfect during the monsoön season. Friendly and very helpful owners.

The family that owns this guesthouse was hospitable at all times and helped us carry our bags at 4 am to go to the train station. They have a rooftop with prime view of the lake, which can also be seen from inside the rooms.

Peacock Paying was a great place to stay while in Udaipur! The outdoor areas are so comfortable and have an amazing view of the sunset. The restaurant had really good food, and the staff was super helpful. They even went to book us a train ticket to our next destination! The location was perfect, just a 3 minute walk from the lake and the popular music show in Udaipur.
The air conditioning was a bit finicky, and only worked half the time. The toilet also didn’t flush properly.

The view across the lake from the room and the rooftop must be one of the best in udaipur. The location is great within walking distance of most places. The family are lovely and for India the room was the cleanest we had on our whole trip. The best puri bhaji we’d had in India!

Had a double deluxe room for our stay, the large lakeview balcony/terrace outside our door was a great place to put up our feet after walking/touring City Palace and sights around Lake Pichola (there was even a cushioned/pillowed platform for meditation/napping on our level!), and for listening to the evening performances of folk music and dance at a venue below. The hosts were wonderful; Roshi was most helpful, arranging currency exchange and local driver to get us to the airport (only TukTuks and local vehicles are allowed within the area surrounding the location, Uber/Ola rides have set pick-up/drop-off locations outside of the neighborhood). Enjoyed a lassi and fresh, delicious dinner of peanut masala, dal fry, steamed rice and laccha parantha at the rooftop cafe. At less than Rs5000 for two nights, this was the best value we found just steps from the lake and City Palace.
No dislikes with our stay! Bathroom was clean and serviceable, but small. Access to rooms and the (new as of Feb 2023) rooftop cafe is by several flights of steep stairs only, no lift (the views are totally worth it!)

Amazing view from my room! Simple but really comfortable and quiet room, with a fabulous view. Great value for money, really friendly and helpful owner - I’d definitely stay here again and highly recommend. Wi-Fi was really good - best I had on my trip!

Wonderful location with incredible views over the lake (and comfy, snug outside my room on the terrace!). Really helpful staff, and tasty food from the rooftop terrace to boot. They genuinely couldn’t have been more helpful! The only even help to me by a bus ticket at the bus station.

it is a lovely old heritage building with the most magnificent views across the lake to the mountains. The location is in the old town walking distance to many attractions. Our room was comfortable and although our en-suite was small, it adequately met all of our needs. The bedroom led out onto a large balcony

There is so many good things to say about our stay here, but the two things that stand out are the family who run the guesthouse and the food. The family were so nice and made us feel like welcomed guests. They could not do enough to make us feel at home.
They have recently opened a roof top restaurant and all the food is currently cooked by the mother of the house. In all my life I have never eaten such good food! we were completely blown away!!! I would return to Udaipur just to eat another meal here, it was that good

Very close to the centre of the ghat but also a little tucked away so quieter than a lot of nearby places. Nice and clean and very cosy and comfortable. Great hosts as well who helped me book a bus ticket and held
my bags for me.

Amazing views from terrace and top roof terrace. Nice place to chill and take in the view. Friendly helpful manager, responsive when we had an issue. Good central location.

Bathroom was small and a bit tired. Shower temperature wasn’t consistent. Poor sound and heat insulation, quite noisy at night. New restaurant on roof, we felt prices a little expensive for some items on the menu. Could only pay with cash which was inconvenient.

It's proximity to almost everything that you would want to see in Udaipur and cleanliness.
While the property in itself isn't bad, we didn't really enjoy the experience because of the room we got. On Booking.com it looked like that the room will have an unobsrtucted view of the lake but in reality we got a view scattered with buildings and other hotels and then the lake beyond those. If you're looking to book this property, make sure to book a room on the highest floors for a good view.
P.S- Be prepared to climb a good flight of stairs. Also, even a cup of tea here is overly priced and not worth it!

The property is located a few minutes walking from major tourist attractions. The view from the room was great. Special mention to our hosts who were very cooperative and took care of our needs. Overall an amazing place to stay.
Among all the positive things, the negative part was the bathroom was a bit small in one of the rooms we stayed in out of the two rooms.
