- A very accommodating host. The owner was obliging with our short-notice change of arrival date due to an unforeseen road closure that delayed us by 1 day. I also recognised their cancellation policy was better than competing properties in the area (once reason I booked them).
- The owner's family proactively offered to look after our baby whilst we had dinner. This was very helpful for us.
Breakfast and dinner were a good price.
- The owner gave us a complimentary upgrade to a room with two beds, so that our baby could sleep separately. This also gave us access to a patio and swing chair that overlooked the mountains and valley.
- The room was spacious with plenty of room for our bags. It was quite comfortable especially with the natural breeze coming through. The room and bed were comfortable.
- The view from the property (once outside of the room) is lovely, and the immediate environment is very serene and peaceful. It was just the kind of environment I was looking for (and a shame our stay was one day less than intended as we arrived late). No chickens so no early morning crowing, and far enough from the main road to avoid any traffic noise.
- The owner was helpful in helping us find a car garage to get a damaged car tyre replaced.
- The access road (an typical Taiwan 'Industry Road') from the Main Road was fun to drive down. It was also exciting (but a bit scary) to drive the rest of the road down to the valley floor on our departure.
- There is a fridge and freezer in another part of the property, but not in the room. This made access to things like cold milk a bit fiddly in the morning. The owner made it easy to access the fridge 24 hours, but it still meant going back and forth to get things and return them after which was a bit troublesome.
- The bathroom was slightly small with a strange arrangement - the shower and shower curtain between the toilet and sink and the bin was on the floor so it would trap water under it once the floor was wet (It might be better to consider raising the bin off the floor some how).
- The fly screen on the front door could use some more padding to prevent it creating a crashing noise when it closed. This affected other rooms too. It's ok when care is taken closing the door, but also easy to slip and make it crash.

Owner and staff were nice and friendly, room was clean
Location not very convenient, had to take out garbage by ourselves, meals are quite similar for 3 days
