The setting by the babbling stream and among the trees with birdsong was very zen.
Castles, beaches and hill walking all close by.

The location of the lodge, it has beautiful scenery very tranquil with the stream running down the side. The Lodge was clean and fresh on arrival. The facilities on site are great!
The sink in the bathroom had no hot water. The lodge is listed as having a washing machine but these are communal and located behind the cafe. A quick was is 30 minutes and cost £5.50 with £1 extra for softener. You can't use your own wash powder it comes pre loaded.

It was not quite clean. I hoped for the reviews, which were all mostly excellent, but the reality was different.
