Amazing stay in Kyoto, at this very stylist accommodation. Shin himself greeted us when we arrived and gave us a very detailed breakdown of the area and with recommendations for what to do. The hotel in incredibly clean and well organised - you can tell how much care and attention Shin and his team take over it. Lots of kitchen equipment so we were able to cook for ourselves a few nights. The hotel is less than 5 mins walk from a train station, which easily connects you to the central Kyoto station.
There is a road outside the hotel. Personally we didn’t find it to be an issue, but if you are a very light sleeper you may want to consider it and wear earplugs.

Absolument tout ! Le design, la qualité des équipements, le soin apporté pour que le séjour se passe très bien. Shin est quelqu’un d’extraordinaire comme nous ne sommes pas prêt de retrouver. Il nous a réceptionné nos valises et nous les as même déposées à notre prochain hôtel à Osaka. Toutes ses petites attentions ont rendu ce séjour parfait. Je recommande cet établissement à 1000%

Incredibly clean, and great appliances! If you’ve heard of it, they have Refa shower heads and blow dryers, and all faucets/toilets/doors are automatic.
Be aware that the stairs are steep! But Shin helped me carry my luggage up and down for check in and out

A spotless and beautifully comfortable room in a very convenient location – not far from Kyoto’s main station or from the Gion area, making it very useful for seeing Kyoto’s many sights, which are very dispersed. And Shin, the owner, is extremely helpful – always available for any questions, and ensured my laundry was taken care of before I left, which I really appreciated. It was also calm and quiet – I slept so well there! And there’s a communal kitchen and living room area, which is very useful for late suppers or storing breakfast overnight.
