The property is a charming 1 bedroom flat with open kitchen and two large windows with a canal view. It s beautiful and central and very accessible
I would have preferred the flat to be better cleaned. We saw insects corners and the kitchen utensils were not well cleaned. A deep cleaning before guest check in would definitely add to the property value

Awesome location in the heart of Amsterdam’s historic canal district. Close to grocery store. Can take a canal cruise 5 minutes from the apartment. Hosts are super nice and friendly, easy to communicate with and responsive to messages. Many places to eat around and a short walk to Central Station. Apartment was very clean and hosts left tasty snacks and wine for is to enjoy.

The location is excellent, the apartment is nicely designed, and the host was welcoming and friendly. Unfortunately, one very important detail completely changed my overall impression of the stay: the apartment is located in a basement/semi-basement, and this was not made clear in the listing.
The host offers two apartments. From the photos and description, however, it is very difficult to understand that they are located on completely different levels. One is upstairs, while the other is in the basement. Had I known in advance that I was booking the basement apartment, I would have chosen different accommodation.
For me, this was especially disappointing because I came to Amsterdam hoping to enjoy the atmosphere and views of the city. Instead of an Amsterdam view from my window, I was literally looking at the shoes of people walking past at street level. There are no proper windows, the apartment felt very stuffy, and there was a noticeable smell of dampness.
Another serious inconvenience is the entrance. It is only slightly more than one metre high, meaning that every time you enter or leave, you have to bend down dramatically. For an adult, this is extremely uncomfortable and something guests should definitely know before booking. What makes the situation particularly frustrating is that none of this would have been a problem if the listing had simply been transparent. Just clearly state that this particular apartment is located in a semi-basement. Then guests can decide for themselves whether they are comfortable with that.
