Villa overlooking portimao, cold AC and fast WiFi

A beautiful villa in quiet town of farracudo. Had a great balcony and view of portimao. Lovely cold AC with fast WiFi & TV.

If you go at night and do not know the layout of the villa you will find it difficult to locate your room. There are alot of villas and on my first night in the dark took me about 30mins to locate my room. No one answers the number I called or even checked up on me afterwards to make sure I made it safe. Basic amenities so do bring your own shower items. Depending on your neighbours there is alot of banging and noise so was woken up early everyday, but this is to be expected

Horrible Communication. Stranded outside for the night!

The location is very far from everything, so not a lot of traffic comes around, especially at night. We were told that because of the time we were arriving the key would be placed inside of the unlocked kitchen window for us. When we arrived, the way that the development is set up was very confusing even for the driver. We went back to the messages to see if any other info was given to us. We tried calling the host and the property manager using the numbers that were provided to us, and got no answer. We called probably over 20 times and got no answer at all. We were STRANDED outside with all of our luggage in the cold for the ENTIRE first night. We were not able to get into the apartment until after 7AM the next morning when finally someone walking their dog helped us. Turns out we were lost because the apartment number that the host gave us was not specific. There are apartments in the development with the same exact number. However, there are different phases of the development (which we did not know at the time, nor were we told by the host). The host did not tell us that the apartment was in the phase 2 area of the development or that multiple apartments had the same exact number. We were at the wrong apartment in a different phase and basically looked like we was trying to break into an apartment through the kitchen window. Thankfully the passerby was patient to help and after about an hour of walking all around the development, trying all of the apartments with the same number. To our luck, we finally found the correct one. Even after that whole ordeal, the host Miguel and the property manager Fatima, never once called, emailed, texted, or messaged through booking.com to find out if we had found the apartment. They never even tried to contact us to apologize for the lack of communication and for not specifying exactly which phase number of the development the apartment was in. I have been using booking.com for years and this is by far the worst experience.

The place was pretty clean, the staff was very helpful and nice and the balcony was gigantic with an amazing view!

The restaurant at the pool could work in more convenient hours.
