Very comfortable and good-looking. The kitchen was very well equipped. We really appreciated the thumble-dryer. Amazing property. Nice position for getting to Funchal, Ribeira Brava, Porto Moniz and Encumeada. Santana, Caniçal and Pico do arieiro are over 1h distant by car.

We loved the place! The house is spacious, very cosy, comfortable, well equipped with everything, especially for the ones who love to make BBQ. The view is spectacular, all the green nature and high mountains around the house are amazing. Very quiet and pleasant to have breakfast outside. Nicolau is a very nice host, and very easy to communicate with. I fully recommend the experience at Refugio de Xamusca!

A nice cottage with a beautiful view. The house was very well equipped (capsules for coffee machines, trash bags, washing liquid), apart from the washing machine there was also a tumble dryer. A large space in front of the house was a big advantage. Great contact with the owner who was very kind and helpful.

There are no small bedside lamps in the bedroom and the light in the kitchen is not very cozy. Not very pleasant smell in kitchen cabinets. Otherwise - the house is perfect :)

Beautiful views and lovely clean and modern facilities. Great communication from owner.

View from the bedroom was superb, host was very friendly and helpful without being intrusive. The complimentary food was very welcome given the remote location. Also completely wheelchair accessible.

Could do with a small lamp in the bedroom - that was my only issue! House could get quite chilly in November but heating sorted this no problem.
