This lovely stone-built, semi-detached cottage is situated on the edge of the village of Far Sawrey and sleeps five people in three bedrooms.
Bishop How is a wonderful Edwardian stone-built, semi-detached cottage situated next to a working livestock farm, on the edge of the village of Far Sawrey. The cottage sleeps five people in three bedrooms, consisting of a king-size double, a twin and a single, together with a bathroom and ground floor shower room. Open plan living area with kitchen, dining area and sitting area with open fire. Utility and a second sitting room with open fire. Outside there's off road parking for two cars and a raised lawned garden with veranda and furniture. Bishop Howe is a great Lake District base, with plenty to see and do in the area, whatever your interest. If you wish to book a short stay for the week beginning 25th July or the 29th August please contact Sykes directly.
Amenities: Electric heaters with open fires. Electric oven and induction hob, microwave, Nespresso Machine fridge, freezer, washing machine, tumble dryer, dishwasher, TV with Sky, WiFi hairdryer. Fuel and power inc. in rent. Fuel for open fires available to purchase locally. Bed linen and towels inc. in rent. Off-road parking for 2 cars. Front raised lawned garden with veranda and furniture, plus side lawned garden and rear patio. Sorry, no pets and no smoking. Shop 3.5 miles, pub 5 mins walk. Note: There are a number of stone steps to the front door and a couple of steps to the rear door. Note: No stag/hen parties or similar. Please note: bookings must fall between a Saturday and Saturday. Check ins on Thursday & Friday are not permitted, nor are checkouts on Sundays.Please note: Charging of electric cars is strictly not permitted from the property - There is a car charging point in the village at Pure Lakes, Bryers Fold, Far Sawrey LA22 0LL. Please contact the owner once your booking is made to confirm how the beds should be made up for your stay.
Region: Impressive mountains, open fells and clear-water lakes, the Lake District has it all. From walking in the mountains to exhilarating watersports or just a gentle cruise on a steam-powered yacht, Cumbria is the perfect holiday destination.
Town: The village of Far Sawrey has a Post Office/store and pub/restaurant. Bowness, with all its shops, restaurants and leisure facilities, is just a short distance across the lake by ferry. Also close by is 'Hill Top', once the home of Beatrix Potter, and Hawkshead with its picturesque 17th century cottages.
