The breakfast was excellent. The location was ideal. It was close to a number of historic sites and easy to get downtown, but the street was closed to through traffic during the day making the neighborhood feel like a quiet oasis where one could take a walk without distraction. The host made every effort to make our stay comfortable. I would be happy to return.
We did not get the rooms originally reserved. The rooms we did get seemed to have not been occupied in a while and they could have used some cleaning and attention to services like hot water working prior to our arrival. That being said, our host was attentive to fixing what he could when problems were brought to his attention.
The pool is a nice amenity, but it is small and gets lots of use. The pool filter seems to have a hard time keeping up with the load of heavy use and it was difficult to find schedule openings to use. Also, the host wants to be paid in cash, so come prepared for that.
