We were given a room with a broken AC in the bedroom on the first day we arrived. No amount of complaining changed the fact that we slept in this room with no air-conditioning in the bedroom, in the heat all night. There was also no WiFi available in the room. For some reason the entire wing was almost empty apart from another room though the hotel was quite busy, indicating this was not an upgrade at all, more like an unused room that we were sent to.
To be fair the main reception staff, a gentleman ensured we were able to get a better room the next day.
Most of the service staff in the restaurants and bars seemed to only give the good stuff to customers who tipped them prior to the service provided. If we asked for Coke Zero from the bottle we were told we could only have coke from the machine (which was horrible) unless we paid extra. Considering we paid for an all inclusive stay, and no one else was making payment for the drinks, except for the tips, this was very ridiculous and made our stay partly unpleasant.
