Situated in Vila Nova de Cacela, this attractive villa for $553 per night is a great choice for your next trip. For your reassurance Villa Alfarroba has an "Alojamento Local" (letting licence) and is registered with the Portuguese authorities to ensure specific safety standards and regulations are met. When considering other rental properties, please make sure that they are legal to be rented out. It is a legal requirement that the number (####/AL) be displayed in the property description. Luxurious private villa- 4 en-suite bedrooms, spacious living area inside and out. Saturday to Saturday bookings Our villa offers the perfect setting for exploring the Eastern Algarve. Within a 15 minute drive of Villa Alfarroba there are 7 golf courses to choose from including the prestigious course of Monte Rei designed by Jack Nicklaus. The towns of Tavira and Cabanas are within easy reach and are great for an evening stroll and a sun-downer outside one of the many street cafés. Faro is about 40 minutes from Villa Alfarroba and is an easy journey with the majority via motorway where often you can drive from one exit to the next and not see any other cars! Whether you want to enjoy the culture, the many sporting activities or visit the local towns, go to theme parks, take a trip up the Guadiana, pop across to Spain, do some bird watching or just laze by the pool - there is something for everyone! More villa details: The ground floor living area is open plan, tiled throughout with cream porcelain which give the house a lovely light and airy feel. The kitchen is a bright citrus lime with a black granite worktop/breakfast bar. As well as top quality major appliances, the kitchen is fully equipped with all you could need from toasted sandwich maker to lettuce spinner and all in between!– we have a large commercial fridge as we understand the importance of keeping everything cold in the hot Summer days. We also have two dishwashers so that you will never end up with work top full of dirty dishes waiting for one dishwasher to be emptied before it can be refilled. There is a 90 cm induction hob which is a delight to cook with. There are two ovens and two warming drawers. There is a large extendable dining table. There are three comfy sofas situated around a panoramic window with lovely views to the sea. We have also indulged in a 65" television! We have two lovely cots (not travel cots) so if you have little ones up to cot age, we can provide these free of charge. Outside space: There is a gorgeous solar heated swimming pool with plenty of terrace and eight luxury sun beds and an external toilet and shower. There is a covered dining area with an additional sink and a large purpose built BBQ. Additionally there are several small tables and chairs surrounding the villa to sit and have a drink and enjoy the views. The garden is well planted with plenty of fruit trees and herbs that you can help yourselves to - a handful of rosemary on the burning coals of your barbecue makes all the difference. We have a draft beer and wine machine with a flash chiller so you can have an ice cold drink whenever you want to. This is only available if pre booked, so we can buy in barrels - approx cost is £100 for 30L and £90 for 20L white wine. Beaches, Restaurants and Shopping: If you can drag yourself away for our lovely villa and the beer fridge, there are so many beautiful beaches around the area. They are immaculately clean and very spacious. They do get busy in July and August but if you are prepared to take a few extra steps from the end of the walkway onto the beach, you will find plenty of space. For a change, you can drive into Tavira and get the little ferry over to the Isla de Tavira where there is a stunning beach and lots of restaurants and bars. There are so many nice restaurants and of course we have our favourites - in the Villa we will provide comprehensive details of our recommendations. On the third Sunday of every month there is a market in the local village of Vila Nova de Cacela where you can pick up locally made crafts, boxes of fresh strawberries and just about anything else you can think of. There is a shopping mall at Tavira but local shops sell fresh meat, fresh veg and home baked bread. There is a municipal market in Tavira which is well worth a visit - freshly caught fish and lots of lovely fruit and vegetables at very good prices - ideal if you fancy a BBQ. Best to go before noon to get the best selection. I am sorry but we have a No Pet policy due to allergies.

As grandparents, we shared this delightful place with our son’s family- his wife and our two grandkids ages 7 and 10. It offers some beautiful spaces for eating and cooking, both indoors and out, as well as four separate bedrooms with en suite baths with great showers. Jo warmed the water i. the pool so it was comfortable the entire week. The kids also loved the projection and game room. The location is perfect for accessing many beautiful beaches and restaurants. Jo is amazing in her responsiveness and a great manager. We would love to come back to this beautifully landscaped place and watch more sunsets from the upper patio.

Been to many a villa in The Algarve and none compare with Alfarroba. Simply lovely, exremely well thought out property. Spacious, fully equipped with a fabulous pool and outdoor dining area in a great area of the eastern Algarve ideal for exploring or just relaxing in the quiet, peaceful surroundings.
Jo is the perfect host. Unintrusive, yet available at the drop of a hat with nothing a problem. She was even able to provide a wheelchair at a moments notice for an elderly member of our group.
Can't recommend this luxurious villa highly enough.

Villa was excellent in every way - inside and outside -rooms were very clean and spacious - outdoor area was ideal with plenty room for all our family of 6 adults and 5 children - we particularly liked the large terrace leading from the main bedroom - the cinema room and games room were enjoyed by all - the villa’s position is quiet and private - Jo was a very pleasant and attentive host -we all had a fantastic holiday and would certainly return to Alfarobba !

Villaroba is a spacious and very well equipped villa with an attractive garden. It is ideally placed for visiting the Eastern Algarve and enjoying this relatively unspoilt part of Portugal. There are some excellent restaurants nearby, our favourite (out of season at least) is the Fabrica Do Costa, which is in tiny village about 4 minutes drive directly South of the villa.
Jo, the villa owner is very helpful and respond immediately to any queries or requests.

We loved its location, quiet, peaceful but not isolated and set in a lovely well maintained garden.
Everything was of the highest standard, comfortable and warm accommodation and an exceptionally well equipped kitchen.
Jo was the perfect host, professional and always available if needed.

We had a brilliant week at the villa with our extended family from the USA. The villa is superbly equipped with everything you could possibly need and Jo is the perfect host. The pool was lovely, the outdoor kitchen is great and having beer on tap was the perfect finishing touch!

The villa is as pictured, only better in every way. The house is spacious and well designed; there were only two of us, but the four bedrooms (each with ensuite) would be perfect for several couples or a family with children. The kitchen is large and extraordinarily well equipped -- two dishwashers, two ovens,, microwave and all the cooking equipment one could wish for. The property is beautifully landscaped and very private, and the pool one of the best we have had in any vrbo. As we were carrying work with us, reliable wifi was important, and it is not only reliable but fast. The owner, Jo, is a delight and helpful in every way, including excellent communications before and during our three week stay. All in all, one of the best, more professional of our many vrbo stays over the years. Five + stars in every category.

Several members of the family said it was the best guest house ever. Nothing is missing, absolutely equipped kitchen, every amusement possible is available. And Jo, the host, is a lovely lady, living nearby, and always available for everuthing. For shure, we we came back

Our group had a lovely time at Villa Alfarrobara. The house is big enough for 12 people, and all features were great. Kids and adults enjoyed the pool.

Just back from a fantastic two week stay at Villa Alfarobba, and what a two weeks ! We were a party of 6 adults (aged 35 ~ 71), and four grandchildren (aged 2 ~ 6). Like many of the previous reviews before, the web site does not do this villa justice, and I doubt you will find a better equipped villa on the Algarve ! Everyone loved the heated pool, to the point were we had a job to get the children to come out. For the adults a lot of the evenings consisted of BBQ, and then sitting in the pool with either a cool draught beer or wine, mulling over the day. There were so many great things about the villa, probably too many to mention but here goes : a kitchen that bordered on being “professional” with every conceivable piece of kit ( the two dishwashers were a god send), definitely the heated pool, the outside kitchen, air-con throughout, sound bars everywhere (including the outside kitchen), the cinema room downstairs ( especially for the kids), and of course having beer and wine on tap ! Yes, you could say it was a little quiet, but that is what we wanted and why we chose the Eastern Algarve. Sitting on the terrace with a cool drink, and not a sound to be heard . . . great ! Now to mention our host Jo, who only lived next door. From first making contact with her to saying a fond farewell, she was exemplary ! Nothing was too much trouble, and it was nice to have somebody on hand with so much local knowledge and advice. Woe that every villa came with a Jo. ! So to sum up, Pros : Everything, Cons : Leaving ! All that I can say from our experience was the time went all too quickly, but the memories will last a lifetime ! Many, many thanks Jo. p.s. I forgot to mention if you have pushchairs or wheelchairs, no problem there are ramps everywhere and wide doors, just another thoughtful detail.

Amazing Villla and hosts
We have just returned from a stay with our 2 children aged 12 and 14 over the October half term The villa is exactly as you see on the photos - scrupulously clean, spacious, well equipped and modern. Jo and Paul were amazing hosts from start to finish. We made use of the heated pool everyday and in between times the kids were able to choose between watching a film in the home cinema, or on the huge TV in the lounge, making use of the wifi or playing table tennis in the basement games room. The weather was amazing and we found lots of family run restaurants and cafes to enjoy in the local area. The Eastern Algarve region took us both by surprise with its beauty and charm and we enjoyed exploring it. This is the sort of villa that I can imagine returning to again and again. 😊

The house might be very good (4 en-suite rooms, the main one with a huge terrace and a beautiful sea view), the kitchen is equipped as no other in holiday houses (the 2 dishwashers is a brilliant idea), the pool is great fun (the beer draft machine helps a lot!), still the best are the hosts: Jo and Paul are one of a kind. Permanently available, concerned that everything is ok, going out of their way to make sure you can always get what you want (despite being Rolling Stones’ fans). All in all, the description of the house is faithful but incomplete: Jo and Paul aren’t in it. We had a great time. Highly recommended.

Very nice stay!
The house is wonderful, even better than the photos show. It has a fantastic outdoor space and the pool and barbecue areas are fabulous. The pool was very heated and provided very pleasant moments even for the little ones. The only thing to mention is that the pool should have a safety guard for children and that there are no batteries in Wii games. Baths have to be given at night because there is no hot water in the morning. The house is really good, with terraces and interior rooms very comfortable and well equipped. I strongly recommend it!

An amazing family holiday and Birthday celebration!
The villa was amazing - exactly as shown in all of the pictures. Exceptionally clean when we arrived and Jo and Paul were there to greet us upon our arrival. The luggage pick up and drop off service works perfectly for us as we had an early arrival into Portugal and a late departure so being able to make use of those 2 days without worrying about dragging our cases round was a big help. We had 2 meals at the villa which were prepared for us by Jo and Paul - both were excellent. Great food and delivered with very little fuss and without any intrusion at all to our holiday. We spent a lot of time planning our holiday in advance and found Jo to be extremely helpful and responsive to all of our questions and emails - we almost ended up pen pals!
We would thoroughly recommend this villa to anyone wishing to experience the more authentic parts of the Algarve. We made lots of use of the pool, table tennis, BBQ and outdoor dining area but didn't use the cinema room during our stay, despite the fact that it was stocked with hundreds of DVDs, as well as books, games and a poker table!

Exquisite villa
We have stayed in many villas before but this is by far the best equipped we have ever stayed in. The kitchen has everything you could ask for and stuff you didn’t event know you needed!
The bedrooms are huge with huge en-suite shower rooms. Each room has a terrace or balcony with the master bedroom having a full panoramic view over the fields.
The villa I situated in a quiet road and is surrounded by well kept gardens making in private. The downstairs is open plan with a large dining and living space with a huge tv and a Ninetendo Wii.
The surprise was the cinema room in the basement. A substantial collection of DVD’s and a projector with fully surround, complimented with 3 sofas, blankets and cushions!
If that was not enough there is a table tennis table and a poker table as well as a substantial washing machine.
The pool area is large with a decent outside dining table. There is two outside taps for beer and wine which are run through a chiller. Just ask Jo for a keg or box of wine, it’s good value.
The BBQ area is one of the best equipped I’ve ever had the pleasure of using in a villa.
Finally the pool is lovely and deep at the deep end, with plenty of sun loungers.
The villa is finished to a very high standard and is like home. I can not recommend this villa enough, outstanding!
Finally Jo and Paul have been great hosts advising us where to eat, organising trips, providing a number of a great taxi service whilst ensuring we were enjoying our stay without intruding.

An outstanding villa
This is a lovely villa situated in a quiet country road a few miles from Tavira. A car is essential as the nearest beach and restaurants are a couple of miles away.
The villa has been well designed with four good sized bedrooms all with en-suite facilities. Three of the bedrooms have walk in showers. The outside and ground floor have step free access.
The pool is a good size and was heated during our stay which was great. There is also a pool house with shower and various pool items; lilo floats etc. There are more than sufficient poolside reclining loungers. There is a large outside charcoal barbecue.
Inside the villa is exceptionally well appointed and has everything you could wish to make your stay enjoyable. If has more than sufficient crockery and cutlery to fill the two dishwashers. There are bowls saucepans numerous domed covers for use to protect food when outside etc. You name it it’s there. There was bean to cup coffee machine which had broken down. Paul and Jo got a spare part and fixed this during our stay. We tried hard but could not think of anything missing.
They are numerous sitting areas inside and out. There is a cinema room downstairs with projector and many many dvd’s. The 65 inch tv in the lounge was more than adequate for us. There are also Bluetooth speakers in most rooms and outside.
We have never come across another rental villa as well equipped as this.
Jo and Paul provided an excellent meal one evening setting the table etc. The lasagne and lemon cheesecake were outstanding.
Jo and Paul live nearby and as a result are much more responsive to occupants needs than a management company.
Overall we could not find fault in any in the villa and it is highly recommended.
So next time you go to Portugal try turning right out of Faro and go East. This side of the Algarve is much quieter with long sandy beaches.

Wonderful Trip
We were three families with 6 children between us. We had a wonderful stay in this beautiful villa . We would definitely return. We loved the heated pool and the beer tap . The sangria was the nicest we’ve had . Thank you Jo and Paul for a wonderful holiday . This villa had everything you need for a fantastic home from home . The children loved the cinema room too .

Impressive villa - a perfect holiday haven
We’ve returned relaxed and revitalised after a gorgeous week long holiday here. Villa Alfarroba is a stylish abode with impressive attention to detail. Perks such as wall mounted Bluetooth speakers enable you to create a great atmosphere around the gorgeous heated pool. It’s a perfect retreat which comfortably catered for our two families (5 adults, 4 children and a baby). The wine and beer on tap is a great addition to any holiday.
As a mum I was most impressed to see a baby bouncer, toys, a changing mat and a beautiful cot set up for our 6 month old son. The high chair was duly brought round as soon as we requested it. Nothing seemed too much trouble for Jo and Paul - fantastic, welcoming and thoughtful hosts. Oh and if you can, sample the homemade cheesecake, it’s impressive.
The setting is idyllic and remote. You do need a car to get around. Tavira and Praia da Manta Rota are both worth a visit.
Whenever the sun got a little too much or the children simply needed some chill out time, the cinema room downstairs was a perfect sanctuary.
We were impressed by so many aspects of this villa. It’s highly recommended. Our friends, that we travelled with, have returned year after year - and it’s easy to see why.

Out of this world
Amazing experience from first enquiry to the end of the holiday. Jo went above and beyond from the beginning. We arrived for a surprise birthday treat to balloons, decorations, fizz and amazing three course dinner and birthday cake ! Shopping in the fridge and wine and beer on tap ! Jo worked tirelessly to make it all so memorable. All 8 guest were amazed. The villa is superb and the most well equipped I have encountered with every detail thought of. Can't praise it highly enough. Thank you

Absolutely amazing !
We had a rocky start to our holiday after our initial flight was cancelled at the last minute but jo couldn’t of been more helpful and flexible.
Once we arrived at this amazing villa all our stresses melted away, it is a beautiful villa in a quiet setting with everything you could need for a perfect holiday.
We had 2 ladies with physical and learning disabilities and the villa was exceptionally laid out and well equipped for all their needs.
We shall certainly be back, and look forward to many more wonderful breaks here

Excellent Villa
Just spent a week here. We are 4 golfers in our 14th year staying and playing golf in Europe. Villa Alfarobba was an excellent property to base ourselves in. Well furnished and superbly appointed. We chose to have beer & wine on tap which was really convenient. The heated pool was also excellent as previously we’ve found the water in Portugal to be a bit chilly at this time of year. There are 4 great courses on your doorstep and more nearby. In summary we would definitely stay here again if we were back in the area. Also worth mentioning that the communication throughout the booking process was excellent. Many thanks Jo & Paul

Eastern family hollidays in Villa Alfarrobia
We stayed with 10 persons, 6 adults and 4 children, in this lovely villa. The hosts Jo and Paul, are very friendly and welcomed us with a bottle of wine and a bolo of the region. In spite of the absence - a few days - of the sun and the very windy weather, we had a lovely time and the heated pool made it all good! The kitchen is very well equiped - the best I ever used in a holiday house - everything you need and ever more, you can find in this lovely apple green kitchen! The women from the cleaning service worked very well and the gardeners came by as foreseen. We are thinking back with a big smile; thank you, Jo and Paul. Irene & Jack, Belgium

Great as always!
This is the 3rd or 4th time we have stayed here as it is such a beautiful property. We visit the Algarve twice a year and this is one of the nicer villas to stay in and try and book it if we can get the availability!
Quite rural surrounds so a car is needed but so close to beaches, shops, play parks for the kids etc. Paul and Jo are always on hand next door if there are any problems (which there rarely are!).

We are now regular visitors to this property as it is comfortable in all weathers and suits our requirements. Any problems and the owners are a phone call away to sort them out.

As a family, we have been visitors at Villa Alfarroba for the last 8 years so needless to say we love it and every year there are improvements...there is a new fridge and a bigger TV this year!!
We tend to go out for a couple of days but mostly stay round the villa – the kids are happiest playing in the pool all day which we pay to have heated which is a godsend – we also opt for draft beer and wine which we all indulge in and love.
This year, however, our holiday was slightly different. My elderly parents have always joined us on holiday and really look forward to it but they are getting frail and less mobile. On the first night of our holiday, my father had a bad fall which required an emergency ambulance and a trip to Faro hospital, after which he was allowed home to rest and that is when Jo and Paul came into their own. They provided us with a wheel chair, a shower chair, a toilet seat raiser and an extra bed downstairs so that I could be close at hand as necessary. I am not sure many villa owners would have had all those things available. Nothing was too much trouble and with their help, Dad was able to get through the week.
I cannot rate Villa Alfarroba and more importantly, Jo and Paul, enough – don’t have second thoughts about booking – just get in quick. We have already booked for 2019!

We tend to go out for a couple of days but mostly stay round the villa – the kids are happiest playing in the pool all day which we pay to have heated which is a godsend – we also opt for draft beer and wine which we all indulge in and love.
This year, however, our holiday was slightly different. My elderly parents have always joined us on holiday and really look forward to it but they are getting frail and less mobile. On the first night of our holiday, my father had a bad fall which required an emergency ambulance and a trip to Faro hospital, after which he was allowed home to rest and that is when Jo and Paul came into their own. They provided us with a wheel chair, a shower chair, a toilet seat raiser and an extra bed downstairs so that I could be close at hand as necessary. I am not sure many villa owners would have had all those things available. Nothing was too much trouble and with their help, Dad was able to get through the week.
I cannot rate Villa Alfarroba and more importantly, Jo and Paul, enough – don’t have second thoughts about booking – just get in quick. We have already booked for 2019!
