Our beautiful apartment benefits from its perfect position in the heart of the city. Just on the corner of the 5th District, the apartment is very cosy, elegant, tastefully decorated with all the comfort you can wish for on your holiday in Budapest. Built in 1911 in Art Nouveau style. Building inside was renovated in 2020. It is a very bright and quiet flat! Rooms: 76 sqm, has 2 bedrooms, 1 living room with dining area, 2 bathrooms, and 1 fully equipped kitchen (with dishwasher), air-conditioning Bedroom 1 - 2 double beds Bedroom 2 - 1 double bed Living room + dining room - sofa, armchairs, free WIFI, TV and lots of good DVD's to watch. Bathroom - bath tub, wash basin, hair dryer Shower - Shower cabin, wash basin Kitchen - fully equipped, microwave, coffee machine, dish washer, washing machine, etc... The apartment is very quiet and bright as it is on the top floor. 3rd floor. No lift in building. Supermarkets, restaurants, bars, Cafe are only 1-2 minutes away on Mikszáth Kálmán tér. LOCATION: Palace Quarter (do not mistake it with Castle District!!!) - Hungarian aristocrat families started to build palaces around the National Museum in the 19th century. These palaces are still there some of them have been turned into block of flats. Flat is on top (3rd) floor. Located behind the National Museum. Parking available in a secure deep garage 1 minutes from the apartment. Its the cheapest deep garage in Budapest Closest metro station - 3 minutes walk - Kalvin ter (blue line) Trams no. 47, 49 and no. 4, 6 are 2 minutes walk away. Flat is on the 3rd floor, there is no elevator.

Our family throughly enjoyed our stay in Budapest at this wonderful apartment. The decor is charming. It was comfortable and very clean. Communication with Sophie was easy. The location was perfect. The apartment itself was very quiet and we slept wonderfully; however it is within walking distance or easy public transportation to all important sights and many nice restaurants and bars.

My daughter and I stayed at the apartment for a week and it is beautifully decorated, kitchen and bathrooms are sleek and the location is great for getting around - very central. There was some construction work in the mornings - my understanding is that it's finishing up -- but it was largely fine, and again, loved the apartment - very spacious and nice to hang out. Beautiful apartment, very helpful hostess
My daughter and I stayed at the apartment for a week and it is beautifully decorated, kitchen and bathrooms are sleek and the location is great for getting around - very central. There was some construction work in the mornings - my understanding is that it's finishing up -- but it was largely fine, and again, loved the apartment - very spacious and nice to hang out. Do not be put off by the stairs (quite a few) that you need to climb to get to the apartment....it is larger than the pictures show, and everything works wonderfully. The neighborhood is perfect for exploring the city, with excellent restaurants right around the corner. Thanks so much for the stay! We celebrated Christmas there, and it was magical.

Kristina, the property mgr, was very helpful and quick to respond to any questions. The apt complex is going through reconstruction so workers started at 7 am but it didn’t bother us since we are early risers. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend it.

Schöne Wohnung mit allen Annehmlichkeiten, welche Mann/Frau für eine Trip nach Budapest benötigt. Check-In/-Out reibungslos und pünktlich. In der Nähe der Whg. befindet sich 24-Std. Supermarkt und direkt um die Ecke Gastronomie mit Biergarten.
Wohnungsausstattung wie in Inserat beschrieben.
Wohnung für einen Aufenthalt mit max. 5-6 Erwachsenen absolut zu empfehlen, auch wenn der Aufstieg der 94 Treppenstufen etwas anstrengend...

Sehr schöne, zentrale, ruhige Wohnung
Die Wohnung hat uns wirklich sehr gut gefallen (Schnitt, Helligkeit, Einrichtung, 2 Bäder waren auch praktisch ...). Sie ist auch ein guter Ausgangspunkt, um Budapest zu Fuß oder mit öffentlichen Verkehrsmitteln zu erkunden. Wäre gern länger geblieben.

Sehr schöne, ruhige Wohnung mit Altbaucharme Mitten in der Stadt
Wir haben als Familie eine gute Woche zu viert in der Wohnung verbracht. Die Wohnung ist sehr zentral, in einer ruhigen Strasse und die Fenster gehen auf den Innenhof. Sie ist bestens ausgestattet mit allem: ausreichend Toiletten und Badezimmer (auch für 6 Personen), in der Küche kann man wunderbar kochen und im Wohnzimmer hat jeder bequem Platz am großen Esstisch, auf dem Sofa oder in den Sesseln. Die Vermieterin hat die Wohnung sehr schön und praktisch eingerichtet, wir haben nichts vermißt. Ganz besonderen Dank dafür, dass Grundnahrungsmittel wie Salz, Zucker, Öl, Essig, Gewürze, Tee, Kaffe (von den Vormietern) noch in der Wohnung waren und wir nicht alles kaufen mussten (wie das sehr oft der Fall ist) ebenso wie Wasch- und Spülmittel. Wir alle waren restlos begeistert. Läden, Restauarants, öffentlicher Verkehr sind in unmittelbare Nähe, auch der Bus zum Flughafen (100E) ca. 5 Minuten zu Fuß zu erreichen.

It was a short walk to public transportation, and also close to Big Bus Tours stop. We used this quite a bit to get around. All appliances in working order (the dishwasher leaked a little, but a towel was provided to absorb the water). All in all a great experience!
Sophia arranged for transportation to the airport at the end of our stay and even gave us some chocolates as a parting gift!
Only down side is that there were three flights of stairs to walk up (92 stairs)

The apartment is very well maintained, clean, and in a quite building. The location and proximity to walking distances from main attraction and touristic points is a bonus as well. All appliances, TV, and WIFI worked great. Note: Just be aware that the floors are high and no elevator.

Great location and beautiful.
The interiors are beautiful, fresh, bright, airy, clean, and comfortable. The exterior of the building threw us off at first, but it is a safe neighborhood and the apartment is just perfect. We were able to walk to many places from there, and the owner Sophie took time to sit with us and give us detailed restaurant recommendations. This might sound silly, but having travelled so much, we are used to terrible shower set ups... we were SO happy with Sophie's shower. It was clean and the water pressure/temperature were amazing.

Centrally located, quiet, comfortable, charming
Excellent service and communication before and during the stay. The renter organized a taxi pickup from the airport for us (€25 one way), which I would recommend for first-time visitors. The apartment is in a great location, five minutes on foot from Kalvin Ter and 10 minutes from the Great Market Hall or the Cafe Central. Still it's absolutely quiet and well-lit because it's in an inner courtyard on the 3rd (=top) floor. Everything was as described, clean, spacious and comfortable for the four of us. The wifi is faster than ours at home! The high ceilings and double doors create a nice open atmosphere.
Grocery stores with tourist-friendly hours are nearby, and just around the corner is Krudy utca with its cafes and bistros. On our second-to-last day, we rented bikes and regretted not having done it sooner. Yellow Zebra on Kazinczy utca is a good place to rent them. In October 2013 they had just started with a fleet of new bikes and were very flexible and nice.
Would definitely recommend this apartment for adults w older children (no elevator, so you get some cardio in during your stay) and will look at this one for our next visit too. Thanks for everything!

Beautiful, comfortable and centrally located flat
I have enjoyed my stay at Sophie´s apartment. The building is a typical old fashioned Budapest house. The apartment itself is very beautiful, very comfortable, very light and spotless clean. Its like on the pictures. I especially loved the beautiful big double doors inside.
There is no noise coming in the flat, its absolutely quiet. Its located centrally, everything is close by, good restaurants, supermarkets too. Sophie is very nice and helpful, explained everything she also has lots of recommendations about the town. Definitely going to return.

We stayed 5 days in Sophia's apartment.
It's a very nice, warm en spacious apartment.
Sophia has made it very cosy and the decorations are beautiful.
It has also everything you need for a comfortable stay.
We felt really at home!
There is no noise in and arround the apartment so you can sleep very good.
It's very close to shops and supermarkets (Spar and Coop) and the places of interest and sights. You can do everything by foot if you like.
If we ever plan another visit to Boedapest i would love to go back to Sophia's apartment.

Two big sleeping rooms and two bathrooms, one big living room and a kitchen.
The main caracteristic is the light that gives the apartment a fascinating feeling you will take back home.

Charming Pest Apartment
This 3rd floor walk-up, lovely apartment in the heart of the city is perfect for couples or friends traveling together. The bedrooms are separated by a well-equipped kitchen and a very nicely decorated combined dining and living space. One bedroom has a private bathroom. The beds are much more comfortable than most hotels, and the apartment itself exudes charm. The apartment's location could not be more perfect: steps away from thriving city life and the Danube, yet in a very quiet neighborhood behind the National Museum. The owner, Sophie, was incredibly attentive and accommodating; she even organized a taxi to the train station for us when we indicated we would find our own transportation! HIGHLY recommended!
