Nestled in Hood River, this lovely house for $293 per night is a fantastic option for your next trip. So named for the Columbia, the Hood and the White Salmon Rivers--all visible from this glorious brand new townhome. Two levels of decks and lots of windows offer ample viewing opportunities-- of Hood River's fabulous July 4th Fireworks display and of the places you love to sail, kite, bike, play! Beautiful wood floors and slate trim, warm colors throughout. Located on a quiet street on the east side of Hood River, this home is fresh and airy, all new. Simple elegance at its best! Please note, if you choose to book with this home, you will be receiving a separate rental agreement that will need to be electronically signed before your stay. The Columbia River Gorge, with its mountains and rivers, offers the vacationer and recreation enthusiast the opportunity to windsurf, mountain bike, kayak, golf, ski, hike, fish, or just relax in the unhurried pace of a natural paradise. Historic buildings line the beautifully scenic streets of downtown Hood River, with a bustling shopping district featuring boutiques, designer shops, outdoor adventure gear outfitters, antique shops, art galleries and no less than 30 restaurants. There are many orchards and vineyards in Hood River. The Hood River Valley is known for its luscious apples, pears, cherries, peaches and other fruits, and for the view of the majestic snowcapped peak of Mt. Hood. People from all over Oregon make an annual trek in the fall to the many farm stands to stock up on fresh apples and pears. Other produce is available, and varies by season. The award-winning Hood River Vineyards is located on a hillside overlooking the Hood River Valley. Their tasting room features traditional wines, and fruit liqueurs. The Columbia River Gorge, with its magnificent views make this a dream spot for a destination wedding. Wind surfing capital of the world is Hood River's latest distinction. The winds from the Columbia River Gorge, best during the middle of the day, create ideal conditions for riding the waves. To enjoy the view of "boardheads" at play, drive to the Columbia Gorge Sailpark or follow Second Street to the waterfront. The Mt. Hood region and its more than sixty miles of forested mountains, 77 waterfalls and myriad lakes and streams are a rip-roaring mecca for outdoor adventure. Very comfortable house with spacious living area and kitchen. Great view of the river and bridge from the balcony and living area. Proximity to downtown Hood River was a also big plus. Parking was a bit of a challenge and was not mentioned as part of the check-in process. The listing indicates a king and two queens, but the “queens” seemed to be fulls instead. Overall, the house was well-equipped to accommodate our group of friends for the weekend.

We had a great stay at this property. Very clean home and great amenities for our family. It was a close walk into town via the stairs. Enjoyed our time here and home away from home.
The only warning is if you have a low clearance vehicle you won’t be able to park in the driveway, it is steep, but there is street parking.

Would have been more helpful to have basic bathroom necessities available - shampoo, conditioner & bath wash.
Only one washcloth in master bathroom.
For the price of renting the home, I would have expected these things.

This is a great place to stay and was exactly as advertised on VRBO. The host was very responsive. The view of the Columbia River is spectacular! It was perfect for coffee in the morning and a glass of wine in the afternoon.
It's only a couple of minutes from downtown and to the bridge across the Columbia.
We had a great time and highly recommend.

Nice, clean place, close to downtown and close to Indian Creek walking trail. Good view of river from the living room and balcony. Had everything we needed for a pleasant stay.

The condo was clean, well-stocked, and had a gorgeous view. It completely met our needs, with the exception of the driveway. The steepness at the top of the driveway scraped the bottom of my car as I drove over it. I called the property manager twice to see if there was an alternate parking space, and no one ever got back to me.

The family in laws enjoyed it. After I purposed to her on the water & she said (YES)😍. We too great pictures explored the city, went sight seeing, & overall the property had everything you needed. Actually you didn't have to leave the house period. It was a 100% pure creative vacation. That over exceeded our expectations. I made a commitment to her I'll take here back every year . From this year forward. I would recommend this property to any family looking for a great get away.

Nice getaway
This house has all the necessary requirements for a great stay in Hood River. Nice location, quiet, great view of Mt. Adams and a comfy great room for lounging and playing cards. My one criticism would be the lack of curtains or shades on the great room windows. I can highly recommend Salman House for your stay in Hood River.

I have travelled pretty extensively in the U.S. and stayed in a large variety of vrbos and other rentals. This one certainly stands out!! The space is beautiful, spacious, airy, light, and very clean! The beds comfy, the bedding natural fibers and great quality, down and feather pillows and blankets...ahhh... (but they do have others as well for those allergic). The amenities are ridiculous, and the most random, yet thoughtful things are there for your use...need a martini shaker? Check. Small serving knives for cheese? Check. Two separate coffee makers and kinds for those decaf drinkers? Check. Yoga mat? Check (though I brought my own, but still...). Easy check in? Check. You get the idea...the place is dialed in, and oh, the view, well, you can see that in the photos!
A-one + rental, totally dialed in! Staff are great to work with! Just don't book it when I'm planning my next Hood River trip!!

The house was very clean
The house was very clean and well kept with lots of amenities - paper towels, TP, spices, some condiments, zip lock bags, laundry supplies, books and games. We are a family of cooks and enjoyed the local farmers' market and the fresh salmon. The only problem we had was the oven which set the smoke alarm off when the temperature was set over 350 degrees - frustrating if you were trying to roast vegetables, etc. We just gave up cooking in the oven after 3 tries. The only other improvement that could be made would be a larger kitchen garbage can and a better corkscrew. The location is great for walking into town and the view is wonderful. We will definitely return to Three Rivers.
