The freshly made dhosa and omelettes for breakfast were superb, as was the chai tea. The staff were great, they really took care and were happy to speak to an overseas visitor. My room was comfortable and spacious, and the laundry service was very good and timely.
I ate in the 5th flooor open air restaurant which is a lovely place, and the food is usually very good. On this occasion the my biryani had got a bit cold and I had to ask for it to be re-heated. I think the reason for this was that India were beating Australia that evening in the semi-final of the cricket champions trophy and the staff were maybe a bit distracted. I don't blame them!

Ok location.
New building.
Reception and restaurant area were looking good.
Adjacent areas and neighbourhood and access is an issue.
Pathetic maintenance of rooms. Have sticky floors, cockroaches.
Staircase in one corner of the building. A big hazard in case of fire.
Very sparsely appointed rooms. Quite depressing.
