The location of the villa is not as listed on Vrbo. It is close to the airport so you require a car to visit Oistins and the rest of the island. Oistins is an hour walk not 11 minutes as stated in the listing. Miami Beach and The Parish Church are also a lengthy walk from the Villa. We had a car, but it would have been nice not to have to drive into Oistins for the fish fry as location was a factor in our choice of the villa.
This aside, the villa met all our expectations, was well equipped and had a lovely pool area with an amazing outlook. A great base for exploring the island.
The owner responded quickly to all our questions and had many recommendations of what to do during our stay.

Lovely property, well maintained and very welcoming owner.
The property is not close to too many activities or restaurants etc so a car is essential but great if you want to get away from the crowds.
Would thoroughly recommend if you enjoy seclusion and self sufficiency.

The villa was as presented in the pictures and well maintained. Margaret was friendly and helpful, and responded quickly to questions. She also made excellent suggestions for activities and places to eat. We all had a wonderful time. Bring your Firestick, Roku, or Apple TV for the 2nd TV. Highly recommended.

This is by far the most amazing VRBO I have ever stayed at!!! Super clean and just exactly as it was listed! The location was absolutely perfect - in a nice quiet neighborhood not around all the hustle and bustle. The pool was stunning as it looks out over the southern part out to the ocean. I just can’t say enough good about this property and Margaret! If you are visiting Barbados - you will not be disappointed staying here! LOVE LOVE LOVE this place!!! Thank you so much Margaret!!!

Great spot, and Magz was a great host! Really nice upscale Villa with a great pool and absolutely fantastic views - exactly as shown in the pics. Everything on the southwest side is within 20 minutes - only reason location isn't a perfect 5 is that you'll need a rental car or cabs to get around (but same is true everywhere unless you book in at a resort and stay put) - host can help you with both taxis or rental car as well. We would definitely book here again if we come back - can't say enough good things about our stay!

Overall I would have to give this property a thumbs up for its quiet and serene location, high up, overlooking Oistins, with a view of the sea. The pool is well maintained and lovely to use while a steady warm trade wind blows across the ridge making it very comfortable.
The house is more than adequate although the appliances are tired and well used. The hob or stove will get you by but thanks to the bbq we managed very well. No lack of space in the bedrooms and although we had a few glitches, Margaret was quick to get things done.
You definitely need a car to get around as nothing is very close unless you love to walk distances on sketchy roads. That being said it’s a very short drive to Oistins…about 15 minutes.
Sleeping was very different from our closed up winter homes to open air doors and windows listening to roosters, barking dogs, monkeys and occasional rains. Sadly we had to use the AC after a few nights as we were stuck in our ways of quiet solitude. No reflection on the house on that note as each bedroom has AC.

My husband and another 2-couple reserved for our anniversary. The other couples could not come but we did. The host offered pick up and transportation for an additional fee however we quickly realized that the person Andrew is the host boyfriend.
This became an issue due to the location requiring a car for all things and we asked about a weekly rate to use his services. He declined and wanted a pay per travel rate which we discovered was at an increase.
Air conditioning only in the bedrooms can only be used as per the host at night when sleeping or we would be charged additional fees due to the cost she has to pay and that didn’t work well.
I advised without complaint that we were checking out early 48 hrs. into our stay and my husband needed to give $60 to her boyfriend (driver) and could give it to her when she came to get the house keys. Boyfriend Andrew knocks and demands his money cursing at my husband and threatens to give him his money now. He was irate, threatening and hostile.
I began looking for the # to call the police being from the US it’s a different #. The host comes and denies calling him. The host open’s the front door all the way with her boyfriend stating that I did a charge off for payment. At this point we felt trapped and unsafe. The new taxi driver arrived and was hostile due to being friends of the boyfriend. Not safe to do business with them.

Perfect as pictures . Location with views over to the sea was so peaceful and relaxing loved sitting out on the front verianda at night with the palm trees blowing and tropical sounds . Location perfect away from hustle n bustle but a short car journey as 10min away when you wont to join in with the locals and tourist. Do visit local rum bars we had best time with locals. Margaret is a mind of information and happy to help and Andrew is a star with taxi runs and tours with local spots you may not find . You will not be disappointed with either location accommodation host locals or Barbados as a destination . Thank you all for a fab and memorable time jane

Margaret has a lovely spacious, airy and beautifully furnished property which met all our expectations. Our days commenced with an early morning pre-breakfast swim in the pool, rain or shine!
The property is perfectly orientated with view over the plains to the sea from the pool and its high position on the ridge takes advantage of the prevailing sea breezes. Perfect for lounging by the pool.
It stylishly furnished with an interior designers eye and fitted with all the mod-cons, galore.
Regarding advice for local entertainment, dining venues and events, Margaret is a font of all knowledge and definitely has a finger on the pulse. Her friendly and personal touch really has made a difference. We are regular visitors to the island but have certainly learnt a lot during our stay.

We had an excellent experience staying at this villa. This was our first trip to Barbados (and first time using vrbo). We chose the villa based on the number of positive reviews about the property and the host Margaret as well. We had no regrets. The property was very spacious and comfortable. We had 6 people including 2 kids and 2 seniors. The bedrooms were a great size and the living room was a large common area all as the photos show. The patio was a wonderful place to relax for morning breakfast, or evening dinner, or lounging around the pool. Margaret was an excellent host who answered questions and provided assistance and advice as needed. She even helped with some arrangements during our stay like a larger taxi from the airport. We decided to rent a car for our stay which made getting around easy especially with 2 seniors. The closest beach is about a 7 minute drive (Miami/Enterprise). I had never driven on the left side of the road and did not find it as difficult as I thought it would be. Most of the roads are two lane and it's mostly between 40 to 60 km. It's helpful to get around to the various tourist attractions most of which are between 10 to 30 minutes away and we would encourage you to visit them. The location of the villa is in a quieter neighborhood which is a little less tourist dense away from hotels. It's about a 7 minute drive to the Oistins Fish Market which has a fish fry on Friday nights. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend it. PS: there is a guestbook with over 10 years of entries which had useful suggestions and advice (i.e. visit the animal reserve during feeding time for the green monkeys).

The family really enjoyed our stay in Oistins at this property. It is located in a quiet neighbourhood close to the airport. It was in a great location for commuting around the island.. The kids loved swimming in the infinite pool, looking at the ocean, and were exiting to see horses and monkeys walking around nearby. The house was clean and looks identical to the pictures. Just Spent 21 weeks here with my daughter and family friend,this is the 2nd time for my daughter and I.For us a perfect place to stay in residential area,so quiet and peaceful.Villa is home from Home with everything to make your stay trouble free.There is no shops within walking distance so you really need a car to get about,we had one for 1st week and second week relied on cabs which was no problem. If peace and quiet is what you are looking for this Villa is for you

Fabulous, spacious villa
The villa is very spacious, clean and has everything you require for your stay including A/C in all the bedrooms. There is a large gas BBQ and the outdoor area is great at any time of the day with the lovely breeze. The wildlife is varied - monkeys, horses & a pig.
We chose not to rent a car, instead using taxis or walking 10 minutes to 'Mike's Minimart' at the bottom of the hill to catch the very frequent no. 11 ZR towards Bridgetown (mini music bus - flat rate 3.50BB$). On the way home one night, the driver even detoured to take us to the top of the hill as it was quite late.
Margaret is a fantastic host and nothing was too much trouble and she went out of her to make sure that we that we were looked after.
The villa, host, island and Bajan people are all wonderful. We would definitely recommend a holiday here. We are a family of four (teenagers 18 & 15).

Perfect holiday home
We stayed for 2 weeks as an adult family of 5, we were greeted by the host, wow just as good as the images.
The three bedrooms were spacious and well equipped, loads of wonderful soft towels were supplied that we used for the amazing infinity pool. All of the home (especially the kitchen) was so well equipped and easy to use. (Couldn't work the oven though but we felt it was well situated as long as you hire a car as you need to drive to an accessible beach really.
The wifi was great and easy to access, this home is big enough for 6 adults easily and is a treat to be in the pool watching hummingbirds on the flowers next to the pool in the morning.
Due to covid we were worried there wasn't a good cancellation policy but ran the risk anyway, it was worth the risk as this is a gem and made our holiday that much more enjoyable as we ate at home most of the time in the evenings due to the curfew in place at 9pm.
The host lives in an apartment below as was on hand for anything we needed but didn't once complain about our loud music or late night swims but it made us feel secure that the property was looked after whilst we were out.
If your trying to choose a holiday home for your trip this won't disappoint you as it has all you could want.

This house has a beautiful setting, surrounded by tropical plants and trees, and has a great interior layout. The central living area is “open concept” and a beautiful Caribbean breeze circulates between the front of the property and the back. The pool is lovely and overlooks the town below and the sea in the distance. The incessant barking guard dogs coming from the town below were annoying some nights and wondered why their neighbours endured such an irritant. As much as we loved the overall property, the lack of air conditioning in the two extra bedrooms was very uncomfortable at night. Our friends offered us the Master (with A/C) so we personally were comfortable but not so for them who had a few sleepless nights :(Our impression of this house is that, while beautiful, it definitely needs some TLC (stained bedspreads, torn couch, dirty outdoor cushions, a charcoal BBQ that arrived just before leaving too small to cook on).

We really enjoyed our stay at the villa. This home is beautiful, spacious, modern, nicely decorated, comfortable with everything one needs. Nice pool and stunning view! Margaret is a great hostess, the best! Very helpful and thoughtful, meeting us on arrival and giving us good tips for our stay.
A car is needed, but you can manage without renting one as the taxi service is excellent. A short drive away you will have stunning beaches , restaurants, supermarkets etc. We would return anytime.

Exactly what we wanted and needed!
This luxurious home is as beautiful as it is comfortable. What you see in the pictures is what you get - no bad surprises here. Margaret is a wonderful hostess, making sure we had everything we needed. She also gave us great tips and suggestions for our stay.
We wanted a quiet and relaxing place to recharge our batteries and this villa delivered! The patio with infinity pool and gorgeous view of the sea is simply perfect!
There is not much within walking distance so expect to take taxis or rent a car. Groceries, restaurants and entertainment are only minutes away.
This home is near the airport and we do hear planes taking off once in a while, but we didn't find it bothersome at all.
I was glad I brought a small Bluetooth speaker to stream music by the pool. The WiFi signal is strong inside and outside the house.
We chose to cook most of our meals so the fully equipped kitchen did not disappoint.
As we prepare to return home, we reflect on the wonderful time we spent here, already planning our next visit!

Home from Home in Paradise
We stayed here for xmas and New Year to escape the hustle and bustle of xmas at home and that is exactly what we did.The Villa and location were superb for us Villa had all mod cons,big comfortable beds and all the comforts of home.The location was a bit out of the way but that was part of the charm,we looked forward to early mornings when the horses and monkeys and sometimes the goats came to feed in the fields close by.It was a Wow moment when we first arrived and the pool and view were laid out in front of us-Amazing..Margaret was there to meet us and took us to the local shop for supplies and organised car hire for our first week.The second week we used Taxis that were very reasonable.We found car hire in barbados very expensive at £384 for 1 week.We had some good recommendations from Margaret for places to visit.The highlight being New Years Eve at Radisson Hotel .Great Food,Entertainment and fireworks at Midnight..The location of the villa and pool on a ridge made it wonderfully cool and sometimes we couldn't wait to get back from our trips out to cool down on patio.We had a fabulous holiday and went home feeling very relaxed and would go back to same villa in a heartbeat

Wonderfully accommodating villa.
Even before we got there the owner, Margaret, was eager to find out if we needed to hire a car, or needed airport transfer to the villa or even if we needed her to get us some shopping in, just to get us started. That alone was very thoughtful & very much appreciated. That interest in our comfort continued with us exchanging contact details on our 1st meeting when she welcomed us to the villa so that we could contact her if we had any problems or she could contact us if there was any house maintenance due, eg. pool cleaning or maid service.
The villa is exactly as depicted in the photos, but even more stunning when you actually see it for yourself 1st hand. The open plan style ment it was spacious & most of all cool. We couldn't get over how cool it was. We had the benefit of being up on a hill, looking down over a valley which ment there was nothing in front of us blocking our view & nothing to block the wonderfully cooling sea breeze.
The decor, & amenities were very modern & stylish. I must say that Margaret has furnished the villa with you're comfort in mind. It really was somewhere you could relax, chill out & enjoy your vacation.
There were little touches that Margaret provided that other villas that we stayed at hadn't. For instance, a cooler box to keep your drinks cool away from the house to name but 1. I could name more but hopefully you'll book & see for yourselves.
The house is finished to a high spec & I have no doubt that anyone staying here will be more than happy with their choice.
As noted on other reviews, you will need a car to get around if you stay here. It's a short commute from the airport & perhaps a 10 minute drive, or less, to Oistins & the coast road where you will find a selection shops, banks, bars, restaurants & beaches.
I could go on & on. So many credits left unsaid. Highly recommend this property for your stay in Barbados with no qualms & would be more than happy to return & stay there again.
