Nice kitchen
I got Giardia there. There are warnings about Santa Marta water in the kitchen, but not in the bathroom. I brushed my teeth there. That was it. The water isn’t the hostel’s fault, but they need prominent water warnings over the bathroom sinks.

Baboon hostel is situated in a great location with lots of nearby cafes, restaurants and supermarkets. The property is a five minute walk to the beach which is lovely! Rooms are small and basic, but does the job for a few nights. Bathrooms were big with plenty of toilets and shower rooms. Breakfast was great with the egg baskets, you can choose how you want your eggs cooking!
Unfortunately the staff don’t speak any English so it was hard to communicate basic things.
Not the properties fault but a lot of loud people late at night and early mornings, banging doors and waking other guests up.

the double beds with the blind. the breakfast was really nice
that the windows didn’t shut so could hear everything on the street, woke up at 5:30 to a carnival type thing. not sociable, had to pay a deposit for an towel with holes all over it. mosquito nets would be good as I got lots of bites.
