Public commercial olympic sized pool located at Ocean Beach Park (pool passes ARE NOT included w/ booking; can be purchased at park). Unfortunately dogs (pets) are not allowed inside Ocean Beach Park. Ocean Beach Park is down the street from the home, open Memorial Day to Labor Day. It is less than a 3 minute walk, only a block away, to the patron walk-in admission booth. Walk down the driveway and take a right, follow straight down until you reach the park entrance. Guests can utilize Alewife Cove for water activities such as kayaks, canoes, or paddle boards (NOT included). Water access area 5 blocks away on Parkway Drive (Waterford, CT). A very short walk across the bridge (to the right) that brings you to the water access area. Besides water activities, the immediate area is a great place for walking, jogging, or bike riding. All Bookings: standard checkin 2pm and standard checkout 10am. Unfortunately, there are no extended checkins or checkouts. We do not have the ability to extend checkin or checkout times. Also, we do not accept trip alteration (dates) once booking is confirmed. We are flexible with allowing pet(s) upon request, at $150 extra flat rate fee, per pet. This additional "pet fee" will be applied as an additional cost to the booking. This fee covers a separate cleaning service to remove pet hair/dander from the home and also utilization of specialized disinfectant & cleaning agents. We appreciate this advanced notification at time of booking, that you are bringing the pet(s) along on your trip. We understand that pets are just as much a part of the family as people. Although, we kindly ask that you please keep the pet(s) off of the furniture, couches, and beds. Also, please be courteous and properly dispose of any waste when they utilize the outdoor restroom. Any incurred pet damages to the home or its contents, will result in a damage claim to VRBO/HomeAway that the guest will be held liable for. Maximum 2 pets. Used beach towels and linens can be deposited in the 2 hampers located in the lower level bathroom. Linens and pillows for the basement sofa bed are located in the lower level bedroom closet. Please, DO NOT REMOVE the mattress protector covers from the beds when changing linens. Garbage cans are located in back of house by storm cellar door. Garbage pickup is on Friday mornings. Guests are responsible to ONLY bring garbage cans out to curb at end of driveway each Thursday night (if applicable). Recyclables can stay in bin and will be picked up by management. Guests are welcome to use the air conditioning/ heat to their liking. Although, please turn the thermostat to OFF once your stay has ended. DO NOT SET AC LOWER THAN 70* - SYSTEM WILL MALFUNCTION REQUIRING SERVICE. Air flow can be manually adjusted at each return vent. Alcoholic consumption is prohibited for any guest(s) under the age of 21. We kindly request that the furniture and layout of the home IS NOT to be moved around or reconfigured. DO NOT alter any of the home electronics: TVs, wifi, cable boxes. A $150 fee will be incurred for any(each) lost/ broken fan, TV, or cable box remote controls. We DO NOT provide on site facility showing(s) and/or walk-through services prior to booking your stay. We ARE NOT responsible for the receipt or procurement of any guest packages ordered/delivered to home before, during, or after their stay. Please DO NOT LOCK outdoor glass door to sunroom. Guests may OPEN SUNROOM WINDOWS. Although, please SPECIFICALLY use windows with screens so bugs do not get into room. Please also SHUT WINDOWS WHEN RAINING or inclement weather. KEEPING WINDOWS OPEN WILL CAUSE WATER DAMAGE. Please, NO SMOKING in sunroom. Guests will be charged for any applicable water damages or indoor smoking violations. Washer/Dryer located in lower level bedrooms through either door. Will need coin to unlock. Iron/board are located in the master bedroom closet. Ground level bedroom 1 pullout sofa foam topper located in basement storage area in large plastic storage bin. You will be notified through the message board, the day/morning of your stay (fifteen minutes prior to your selected check in time) with the keyless entry instructions and code. We kindly ask that ALL communication is made through the VRBO/HomeAway message board; to only utilize the telephone contact in the event of a true emergency. Please be advised, this rental property ONLY CONTAINS items specifically notated on the listing page. If you are requesting the provision of an outdoor bbq grill, umbrellas, beach chairs, specific cocktail glasses, serving plates and cooking/baking items, cooking/baking spices or condiments, folding chairs, air mattresses, etc, or any other non-standard item(s) that are not listed, please plan ahead and bring your own. The items that are provided at the home are already above and beyond the standard rental accommodations, so please plan accordingly. We cane to conneticut to vist out son who is in the navy. He was graduating B.E.S.S. so qe booke dto saty for 4 days.. and than my son gkt an extra day of liberty and they let us extend out stay for an extra day so we were abke to visit with him longer 😁 The house was exactly as soon in pictures.. it fit us perfectly. Very nice and cozy we felt as if we were at home. I have no comaints at all.. 👍👍

Indoor/outdoor carpet for living room stained Mold in all the bathrooms Contracted manager and they said they would contact the cleaning people…we bleached the bathrooms ourselves

Plenty of space, well kept and comfortable. If you expect older, with no updated amenities...this is it. It was perfect for us.

Due to an inaccurate description on another rental site, my husband, his 93 yr old Mother and I needed a place to stay ASAP. We had some unique concerns about my Mother-in-law because she is only 4'10' tall, making very high beds and tub/shower combos a problem! This house was perfect! The walk-in shower stall in the master suite worked well for her. We found the beds to be extremely comfortable. We only used 2 of the 4 bedrooms, but they all seemed very nice. The living area was large and the kitchen was adequately equipped. The drawback is that the bathrooms are woefully outdated. Classic early 80''s colored ceramic tile, some cracked, and leaking faucets. There have been minor repairs made. And thankfully my Mother-in-law is a very tiny person, otherwise she would have struggled to use the shower stall...extremely small! 4 stars due to the condition of the bathrooms...if you can overlook that, make it 5 stars!

Nice neighborhood, nice house
The house is very clean and cool. It has plenty of room for a medium sized party. It is outdated style wise but perfectly fine overall. Beach was super close, nice 4-5 minute walk. We ran into someone who owned a home in the street right next to ocean and she told us a little of the history of those houses/ streets. Overall, it was a very nice vacation and 100% suitable house very close to the ocean. What more could you want? Owner was responsive and helpful. Maintenance guy was very friendly and courteous.
