About this condo rental
Situated in Ixelles, this attractive condo for $86 per night is a great choice for your next trip. The apartment is located in a peaceful street close to the European Parliament. It is on the first floor of a typical Brussels house which has just been renovated and comfortably furnished. You will find in the district many animations and restaurants (with terraces), very close supermarkets. Sliding scale tariff according to the duration of the lodging (price envisaged for 2 people, supplement of 15 Euros / day by additional person). Capacity for 4 people with the possibility of adding an additional bedroom in the basement (typically Brussels), just adjacent to the apartment and where can comfortably accommodate 2 additional people, with cable TV, separate individual WC and double bed. (See photos of the basement on the site). The additional room is optional (30 € / night) but compulsory for groups of more than 4 people. Payable in cash upon arrival. The apartment can perfectly suit people wishing to meet for exceptional events or to visit Belgium or a group working with the nearby European institutions. Also ideal for expatriate families (special prices on request) looking for long-term accommodation for installation. We could also gladly help you in this process given our knowledge of Brussels). Arrival possible after 10 p.m. but supplement of 30 Euros. We have two parking spaces 180 meters from the house that we rent each with an additional € 10/24 hours if necessary. Dogs and cats welcome (30 € extra payable in cash on arrival).

What a wonderful apartment, better than the pictures, on a quiet street but close enough walking to anything you want to (especially frites!) Caroline was so accommodating, she let us leave our bags earlier and helped so much with recommendations. My only wish was we would’ve stayed longer in Brussels.

The place is beautiful and convenient - high ceiling, garden terrace on one side, balcony on the other, well-equipped kitchen, good shower, good mattress, quiet and gorgeous street. Great management - prompt response to whatever questions you might have - thank you, Caroline!

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this apartment. The location was very convenient to a train station, grocery stores, buses, and other amenities. We also found it easy to walk into the heart of the historic areas of the city. It was very clean, nicely furnished--especially the kitchen --and very comfortable for us. The balcony was just charming and we loved having the doors open and listening to the birds with breakfast.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Brussels and especially in this apartment. It is very nicely located in a quiet surrounding, yet right in the middle of a vibrant part of the city. Place Jourdan is only a short walk away where you can enjoy a drink and of course Brussels' most famous fries at Maison Antoine. Our hosts were very friendly and communication was no problem at all. The apartment has everything you need and even two balconies where you can relax before or after an interesting day in town. We highly recommend this place and hope to come back in the near future.

We had a nice stay at this lovely apartment. It had everything we needed and is set in a nice neighborhood near many great sites, restaurants and shops. We were able to easily walk to most of the sites we wanted to enjoy in Brussels. However, there was a bus stop and train station very close to the apartment. We had surprise extra guests who decided to join us and sleep on the fold out couches. Caroline was very accommodating and allowed us to easily pay the extra cost for our guests to join us. Everything was clean and we loved being able to open the big window doors in the rooms and have a nice fresh air cross breeze to keep us comfortable. Thank you for a wonderful experience!

We were able to walk to many landmarks and really enjoyed the neighborhood. It was lovely to be able to open the windows and doors and let the fresh air blow through the rooms. We took our drinks to the patio and relaxed. The kitchen was well equipped.

Great apartment, perfectly located near to the European Parliament. Perfect location for dog owners due to the great park around the corner. Nice shady terrace, especially on hot summer days.
Grocery stores, bars and restaurants nearby. Bus service to the city center and train station are only a few minutes away. Your car can be parked in a garage around the corner (extra fee of 10 Euros per day).
Caroline and Fabrice are very friendly and nice hosts.

Our four-night statay in Brussels got off to a very poor start when dealays meant that we were only leaving London when I had indicted that we woild be arriving at the apartment. Caroline coped with some patchy communication from me (wifi problems at St Pancras and on Eurostar) but was there to greet us when we arrived. The apartment was entirely as we expected with good facilities sufficient for a longer stay. We would be happy to stay there again. It proved to be more conveniently located than we first thought with good access to the local train station and walkable from the centre of the city.

The location pf this property is great. It is close to the bus stops for tourist visits or walkable. We did both. The assistant manager delivered an iron for me since the shared building iron was not to be found. That was very nice as my packing skills did require some of that assistance. The drying rack came in handy also. I would stay again.

This flat suited us quite well for our four-day stay in Brussels. The flat has high ceilings and lots of light, the bed was comfortable, the shower had plenty of hot water, and it has a wonderful terrace, which unfortunately the rain prevented our using. Fabrice was lovely and allowed us to store our bags while the apartment was still being cleaned. The place is just a tiny bit outside the center, but the price more than makes up for that. It would be nice if there was a small couch for two, especially for older folks like us.

First off, the property and host were great. Extremely communicative and the property is exactly how you see it in the pictures. The area is also great, 5 min walk from Brussels-Luxembourg train station, and walking distance to many shops/restaurants. The area is also beautiful, right next to the European Parliament building.
A few things that’s could be improved: check in/check out process. You must communicate with host and wait for them to arrive to get your keys and then wait for them to arrive before you can check out. This can be some trouble waiting around for them. Also, they ask that you pay the tax/person/night in Euros at the end of your stay, which seems a little sketchy.
The bathroom has a broken tile and the shower doors also keep falling off their track. The broken tile should be fixed as this is a hazard for anyone walking around.
Other than those suggestions, the stay was great, the place was clean and we enjoyed our trip!

My experience at Caroline and Fabrice's house was defintely positive! The house was historic and really beautiful, with large , clean and well equipped rooms. We booked also the second bedroom downstairs, it was cozy too. It is very close to the Parliament and to the metro stop and there are streets in the neighborhood full of restaurants and bars. Caroline was always helpful and nice! A very good experience!

The Good: excellent location away from most of the weekend activities of the Grand Place and bars/restaurants, walkable to a number of places and transit, clean, and personable owners with a trouble free check in and check out.
The Maybes (no rating category covers these points): you can still have noisy neighbours (kids running around, Sunday night party) as there are multiple apartments within this building, do a look through the provided kitchen equipment to make sure what you might want is there if you cook your own meals, some repairs are required (loose, noisy bathroom floor tiles), and "character" of old buildings (we suddenly needed the key to unlock the main door on departure morning).
The listing photos very accurately depict the property. This is the second time we have stayed with these owners (my wife previously at a different location) and we would do so again.

Nicely fitted for a couple or a couple with one or two kids. Great location. Availability of restaurants and coffee close by. Right distance to city center as we always enjoy a 20 min walk: great host. Would come back.

Loved the location! We were able to find easily taking the train from Brussels airport because of Caroline and Fabrice's expert directions. We enjoyed the nightly walks back to the cozy apartment from the touristy sections of Brussels. We also really appreciated the close proximity of the hosts and their accommodating nature.

This property was amazing - I was able to check in early and the place was beautiful. It's a little outside the center of city, which was perfect. Great little neighborhood, but still walkable to everything! No problems at all and the host is super helpful, attentive, and wonderful. Would definitely stay again!

This was our first time staying in Brussels and this apartment was wonderful. Charming entrance with a well restored interior was a pleasure to stay in. Pleasant and charming hosts accommodated our check in requests and offered excellent suggestions on activities and restaurants in the area. Apartment is clean, well maintained and stocked with anything you could need for cooking. Apartment has both a balcony and a rear terrace which just added to the space. Very pleasurable experience indeed!!

My wife and I were looking for an authentic Brussels experience away from the tourist spots near the Grand Place, and we found it here. Public transit will take you where ever you need to go, (we made it to Gare Central in about 15 minutes) but we were mostly happy to see the area on foot.
The owners have done a beautiful job renovating this building while maintaining the charm.
I would be happy to stay here again.

We recently stayed at the European Quarter and found it a great location. It was close to a bus station and it wasn’t a very long walk to the city center. There were good restaurants and patisseries near by. It was extremely clean and the host was very helpful. Another plus was how quiet it was. Really a great neighborhood. When in Brussels we would stay again if the location was available.

The apartment was super clean and exactly as pictured. Caroline was an awesome host and provided everything we asked for. The kitchen was well stocked with all the cooking and dining in essentials. One of the apartment's best features is the location. You are right around the corner from a major transportation station, museums, and wonderful eating establishments. We knew nothing about Brussels, but this location was perfect for seeing the sites, catching the train & getting a morning coffee. Very clean, lovely patio, high ceilings. Highly recommend it! Fabrice was outstanding!!

My daughter and me had the worst experience with the owners of this property. Literally we were kicked out at 4:30pm without even let us in after listening his shouting. We stated our arrival data and paid for it- no reply, we requested how to get in- no reply, we contacted the vrbo manager who finally provided a phone number- no reply for several times. We waited there at the requested time, at the time provided on the website an noone was there. Finally, we got to talk to them, they had even no clue about which property and reservation we were talking about. The owner came, told us we were rude to say that we are upset about the situation and shouted that "I am the boss here". "I do not need people like you". " Go away". We ended up at 5 pm to look for a hotel after such a horrible experience. Avoud it, if you have a chance!!!

This rental was spacious and the owner gave us access to the washer and dryer in the basement which was a plus! Fabrice was very informative about the area and we enjoyed walking to a town square to eat our dinner with the locals outside.
The only downside was the construction outside on the street which ( of course) the owner had no control over.

The apartment is located right next to the EU parliament. You can literally see the parliament building from the balcony, which we found pretty cool.
The apartment is well equipped and we found everything we needed. It's a great base to explore the city or even other parts of Belgium, as a train station is right around the corner.
