Beautiful private mountain retreat with inspirational views of Franconia Notch and Cannon Mountain - Air conditioned - High speed wireless internet - 6 person outdoor hot tub - In the heart of the White Mountains of New Hampshire - 4+ bedrooms and 2.5 bathrooms - Contemporary home with eat-in-kitchen, convection oven, and granite counters - Spacious living room and family room with soapstone wood stove - Full length deck with outdoor gas grill overlooking the mountains - Playroom loft area with foosball table and pinball machine. This fun and tastefully decorated home is a great vacation destination for the entire family. Reviews offer testaments to the quality and natural beauty of the property. Private and quiet neighborhood where all you see are mountains and trees, yet an easy 5 minute drive from Rt. 93 and Franconia village center. Quoted price is for main house only, which accommodates up to 10 people. Beds: 2 queens, 2 doubles, 2 twins, 1 double futon, pack-n-play. An optional 3 room, ground level apartment with a large eat-in kitchen, provides an additional full bath, bedroom, and a game room with custom slate pool table, TV, full futon and pinball machine. The apartment is available to larger groups and accommodates up to 4 people. Please request apartment quote if interested. The apartment is only rented together with the main house and is not available as a separate rental unit. (NOTE - During the Christmas to New Years Holiday period, house and apartment only rented out together. Holiday quote includes both units).

Ideal arrangements for an extended family group. Spaces for being together but also quiet private spaces. Kids loved the games (pinball! Foosball! Pool!) and hot tub.

We rented this house including the apartment for our annual family reunion. There were 11 of us (1 family of 5, 1 family of 4 and then a family of 2). The sleeping arrangements were just right and everything was clean and ready to use. The kids enjoyed the games around the house and the adults enjoyed hanging out on the porch and closing out the day in the hot tub. The view is just amazing from the house. There is a great little market close by in Franconia for groceries and many other close by activities. David was super easy to communicate with and helped to make everything enjoyable. We are already talking about heading back next year!

This was my first visit to Franconia Notch, and I could not have asked for a better place to stay! David is a great host and I can not wait to go back! The house was super clean and the VIEW!! Coffee every morning on the deck was the best way to start my day. Thank you David for sharing your home and your knowledge of the area…Sunset Hill and Polly’s Pancake Parlor, both spectacular!

We stayed in this house as a group of friends and had no complaints. The kitchen was well equipped for meals, the deck had an amazing view (grill works great!), and the hot tub was so nice to have at the end of the day. Only 30 min or less to NH's most amazing mountains and hikes! Would definitely book again in the future!

Clean, comfortable, updated property with great views of the White Mountains. Very little traffic near house. Nice kitchen. Open spaces to gather inside and on the spacious deck. Pinball games, pool table, foosball table, plenty of board games for the rainy days. All rooms are air-conditioned, and the house stayed cool during 80-degree days. Overall a wonderful experience.

David was a gracious host who went the extra mile to make sure we were well taken care of. House was well equipped with all we needed for a last minute getaway and the views from the deck and hot tub were amazing. Location was great and we loved going to Clark’s Bears, Polly’s , and visiting nearby Littleton. We will definitely be back!

Our family needed a quick getaway and we found this wonderful house in Sugar Hill. David was able to accommodate us on short notice. The house has fantastic views of the Cannon/Lafayette area, a large multi-tiered deck and a big hot tub with great jets. The kitchen is fully stocked and the ignitor on the grill actually worked. The house is not premier luxury, but is quiet, functional and airy, and has lots of sleeping options. We'll be back.

The house was perfect for my family! We had a wedding in the area and this house served as our home base. The view is absolutely stunning from the property (definitely my favorite part).
David was very accommodating with everything (we added the apartment on later) and was quick to respond to all questions and messages.
I gave check-in process only 4 stars. David mails the key to you before arrival. I’ve never had this with a rental before. David made sure the key got to us with plenty of time. I think a lockbox may have put my mind more at ease though, but he may have a reason for not doing a lockbox on the property.

Had a wonderful experience at this house, fantastic views that can’t be beat, spacious with plenty of comforts. My family truly enjoyed the entire week. Would highly recommend a stay here if available.

The pictures don’t do justice to the views from the deck. The property is simply incredible. Clean, well maintained, the grounds are well kept. The hot tub was lovely, and the house was central to everything we wanted to do while we were there. Make sure you stop in for breakfast at Polly’s Pancake Parlor!

We had a wonderful time staying in Sugar Hill. The view from the property is spectacular. Plenty of rooms for everyone. Laundry unit on site. Hot tub worked perfectly. Fire pit in back for s’mores at night with the kids. Grill on deck. In close proximity to many spots of interest in the white mountains, but far enough off the beaten path to feel secluded. Definitely go to Polly’s Pancake Parlor! This property is a gem and the process for booking was simple. Thank you for an amazing stay. We will be back soon!

We had a wonderful family vacation, room for everyone and lots of fun games and activities for the kids. Two near by ski mountains (Loon and Cannon). The hot tub was clean and had great jets. David was very helpful with great communication.

The house is beautiful and quiet. The location is a few miles away from the state park but convenient to reach highway and grocery store. Owner David is very responsible and easy to reach. He gives you details way ahead which makes me feel eased about my trip. I will definitely bring my friends back to white mountain and stay at David’s house.

I agree with everyone else. Comfortable, clean, and very well appointed home with a 5-star view of the mountains. Many, many "comforts" and high quality houseware that make this very homey and not just another rental. Perhaps the best aspect is the setting; down a very quiet country road with absolutely no noise pollution. A gem.

We stayed here with our children and their families. There were 6 adults and 4 children, ages 2-10. This place was perfect for us - plenty of beds and lots of room to spread out. Everyone enjoyed their stay. It is centrally located to many of the things to do in the area and the view from the deck is spectacular. Although we had a warm week, it was nice to have access to plenty of firewood for a campfire or the wood stove. We even enjoyed the hot tub a few times. We weren't successful in spotting a moose during our stay but we were able to see a bear on two separate occasions. The kids enjoyed that! I highly recommend David's place. You won't be disappointed.

"Retreat" is a perfect word for this serene and lovely place. Our favorite part- the view - was breathtaking and ever-changing (with the weather). The area was ultra quiet (i.e., NO traffic sounds). And the house was comfortable, roomy, and extremely well-equipped. We were close to a myriad of hikes and swimming at Echo Lake. Thank you, David. It was delightful!
