About this cottage rental
Situated in Ossipee Lake, this lovely cottage for $293 per night is a fantastic option for your next trip. . (Friday to Friday june-August flexible dates all other months). This is by far one of the best kept secrets of Ossipee Lake. This cute cozy carriage house is located on the shores of Lake Ossipee in a very private community. The carriage house is recently updated with new kitchen appliances, new carpet refinished wood floors,furniture, a new great room on the lower level and a big beautiful lake view deck. Enjoy this very private lake side property with 20 feet of private beach and pure serenity with a view of the beautiful white mountains. The single private home is accessible by one flight of stairs. The carriage house has 2 adjoining bedrooms and 1 small full bath with an open kitchen living space, washer dryer, wifi, games, foosball table and flat screen tv’s for those rainy days. There is a queen size bed and a pull out twin bed in the first bedroom and two twin beds in the second bedroom (we do not provide bedding guests must bring your own sheets and towels (bath and beach) ). We have recently renovated and added another roughly additional 800 square feet of living space where we are adding various indoor games. You will want to spend all of your days on the lake in the canoe, kayaks, or simply sitting lakeside with the serenity of the surroundings. Bring your boat and dock it on the property for an additional nominal fee. This place is cozy and spacious enough for your family to enjoy for a long weekend or a week long summer vacation. We are conveniently located very close to hiking, golfing, bike riding, restaurants and shopping ( North Conway is about 30 minutes north). All EV’s welcome charging capability on site.

We loved our few days at the carriage house! Communicating with the owner was super-easy, and she made us feel very welcome. Our weekend there was cool and rainy, but we still had a great time. The property was beautiful -- we loved the cozy living room upstairs and the foosball table downstairs. We were also very happy to find a well-stocked kitchen. We'd love to come back in the summer to get the full lake experience!

This is our second time staying here and we love it! Perfect amount of space for our family of 4. We love that it’s walking distance right over to the lake. The property manager is very nice and if there’s ever an issue she responds right away.

My family and I just returned home from a week at the Cozy Carriage House and I can't say enough good things about it!
From promptly answering questions before we even booked our trip, to helping us with little things during our visit, to thanking us for our stay, Leigh was the perfect host! The constant communication was incredibly appreciated!
Upon arrival we found the Carriage House to be very clean and extremely organized. The kitchen was stocked with everything you would need to cook for a family of four, including a griddle (which was great because I packed ours and the plug was damaged during our travel)!
We were all so excited about the new deck that has been added to the home. In addition to my morning coffees and a book on the deck, we also enjoyed most meals outside and many family games overlooking the lake.
Ossipee Lake is our favorite summer vacation spot and the private beach included with this property is absolutely perfect to enjoy it from. The soft sand was great for the kids to play in and we loved bringing Leigh's kayaks and canoe out onto the water. One of our favorite things to do was to make s'mores on the beach in the evenings. Leigh provides wood for the fires as well as a wagon to transport it. Very much appreciated!
When we weren't outside on the deck or on the lake, we were spending time in the finished downstairs area of the Carriage House. There's a beautiful lake view from downstairs and it was a great area for family movie nights!

Our stay was everything we wanted and more! Clean, well stocked, and always got back to you if you had a question! We had a great boat dock and they supplied a wagon to get our bags and cooler to boat! They just put on a beautiful double decker deck on the side of the carriage house! Love it and hopefully we get back again! Plus they finished the whole bottom into one large game/tv room!

We enjoyed our weekend stay in this wonderful lake-view home. The house is well-equipped and comfortable. Communication was excellent and very prompt. We enjoyed using the kayaks and sitting by the lake and fire pit in the evenings.! Great place to relax and enjoy a memorable lake-side vacation.

This was a last minute find for Labor Day weekend and we absolutely loved it! The location, beach, and ability to dock our boat was perfect. Our girls (3 & 1) had a blast playing on the beach and running back and forth from the house. It was perfect size for us 4. Curious if the owners will furnish the downstairs more so we can hang out down there more. We've already booked another stay!

We had a wonderful stay. House is located in a small, private community that has everything you need. Private beach with water toys (provided by host) and reservable dock space. House is well maintained and has everything you need. Supermarket and restaurants are close by. Leigh is a great host, was very responsive and accommodating. Highly recommend and and wouldnt hesitate to rent again!

The property was perfect, short walk to the lake and very clean and the kitchen had everything we needed. If we return to Ossipee for a week, we would likely rent here again. The only knocks were the bathroom door made the small bathroom feel even smaller, I’m average sized and had trouble getting in and out as it opened in, and the oven made the whole room hot. Probably not normally a problem, but it was hot our week.

Great Place
This is my 2nd time staying here with my brothers. It is a great spot and great access to our favorite lake. The place was so clean and had all the necessities. I especially loved the addition of the bonus room. A great place to hang for those rainy days. We met and hung out with the neighbor who made us feel so welcome. We will definitely be back.

Graduation fun
We had the best time at your place! Perfect sleeping arrangements for our group and lots of space for everyone. Of course we stayed during a heat wave and the place was a little hot one night but nothing too unbearable. My teenage daughter, her two friends and myself loved how close it was to the lake and activities in North Conway. We visited Lower Falls, Nirth Conway shopping, Diana’s Bath and tubed the Saco. The perfect ending to each busy day was floating in your fabulous floats. Thanks for sharing your place with us.

Cozy Carriage House
This apartment is centrally located for all New Hampshire activities. It’s in a quiet lake front neighborhood and is very clean. The kitchen is adequately stocked and the apartment size gas stove is fantastic for any cooking you want to do. The beds were comfortable enough and there was enough room for 2 adults and 3 children. The only downside was the extremely small bathroom. It did have a full size shower/tub but yet it was still tight. It is located 5 min away from a shopping plaza with a supermarket and I think a liquor store. Overall we enjoyed our stay here.

Perfect Retreat!
I stand by my review from our stay last August - this property is amazing! A perfect retreat from the busy day to day. Nestled in a private association on the shores of Ossipee Lake, it's peaceful and relaxing. The lake is pristine and you have access to kayaks/canoe. It's just a quick walk (basically thru someone's yard) from the carriage house. This is our second year staying here with our toddler son. Plenty of room for the three of us with full kitchen, living and dining areas and 2 bedrooms. We all love it here and would recommend to anyone, from couples to folks with small kiddos.
The Hannaford is 10 minutes away (and a tiny local grocer literally a half mile walk away) and you're a short drive to area attractions. There are a couple local restaurants (we really like Hobbs Tavern just up the road) and nearby Conway has lots more. We did a couple day trips and spent a few just playing on the beach. So nice to wake up, have breakfast, go play in the sand/take a canoe ride, then head back for a toddler nap, before heading back outside. Couldn't be easier or more convenient!
For the price, space and beach access, this place can't be beat.
In addition to all of that, the owner has always been super gracious, communicative and helpful.

Relaxing quality family time
We loved the location. The carriage house was the perfect amount of space for us. We grilled dinner and had all the tools we needed for successful meals. We swam, kayaked, canoed, and enjoyed the water to the fullest. As described in the listing its a short walk to an from the beach. Our fires at night were such a treat. We will stay at leigh’s again!

We really enjoyed our stay in this adorable carriage house. The private beach and use of kyacks were perfect for our daughter. The kitchen was fully equipped with everything you would need and the house was clean and had great charm.

Superbe Lake!
Very nice small cottage just a few hundred yards from the Lake. The owner respond quickly to questions. We will definitively return to this location. Ideal for a couple or a small family. Full kitchen with everything you need plus, a propane BBQ outside. The kids really enjoyed the kayaks and the beach!!! The Lake is cristal clear and we also enjoyed swimming...

Great location and wonderful community
We were in town for a wedding and were two couples and our 1-year-old. The owner was helpful and communicative. The private beach was fabulous, and many canoe rides were had. Neighbors were super helpful and gracious. Overall we were very happy with the place and it was perfect for a getaway with friends and family. The only hiccups inside were the carpenter ants and what appeared to be a sedate breed of black wasp. Normally this kind of thing is par for the course for us (it is summer bug season, after all!), but it was more of an issue with a 1-year-old roaming around. We were grateful for the opportunity to stay in this lovely place.

We had a great time. This place was neat and clean and the owner answered all my questions. Enjoyed the proximity of our favorite lake, Ossipee, at a reasonable price. My brothers, daughter and myself got to enjoy the lake together with the kayaks and canoe. We will definitely be back.
