The Endeavour Restaurant with rooms

Terraced property situated in the old part of Staithes. Very modern and well appointed room and bathroom. Tastefully decorated. Cameron was the perfect host and served a delicious breakfast.

Nothing to dislike.

Excellent breakfast, ordered the previous evening and personally cooked and served by Cameron. The Endeavour is ideally placed for exploring Staithes, which is not a place visitors can bring cars into - we left ours at the top, with free parking if we displayed our disabled badge, took a minimum of stuff for our two night stay, and walked down and back with small backpacks. A steep climb but well worth it.

The room was very spacious, clean, and comfortable, with an excellent bed that ensured a great night's sleep. It was well equipped with thoughtful amenities such as a kettle, tea, biscuits, and even an iron. While there were a few spiders and cobwebs, this seems to be quite common in rural areas of the UK and did not affect our overall experience. The breakfast was absolutely fantastic, with a great selection and high-quality food. Cameron was exceptionally kind and helpful, providing useful recommendations and local tips throughout our stay. We also really appreciated the guest lounge area, where complimentary snacks, water, and milk were available, while additional drinks could be purchased. It was a very welcoming and practical feature.

Given how well maintained and modern the room is, the bathroom could benefit from a little more attention. There was some mould caused by humidity, particularly around the shower area and on the shower curtain. Guests should also be aware that, as clearly stated by the hosts, the property is located in the centre of Staithes and parking is only available uphill from the village. This means you need to walk down to the accommodation and back up again when leaving, which may not be suitable for people with mobility issues. Finally, the seagulls can be quite noisy, so I would recommend bringing earplugs if you are a light sleeper.

Great breakfast and good facilities including fresh milk for tea/coffee in the rooms. Well appointed room with quality fittings and plenty of space.

Stairs were very steep but I guess that is the nature of properties in this village. At the time I stayed it wasn't a restaurant but was about to open as such in the next few days. Not a problem as a couple of good pubs nearby. No parking was available at the property - the listing is wrong in this respect. Only parking available is at a public carpark at the top of a very steep hill before you enter the village and is some distance away. £8.80 per day when I went.
