The airy living space opens up to a lovely covered patio, the perfect spot for dining al fresco. This beautiful apartment is the upper part of Casa Nettuno, the bottom floor is the Garden unit. You will share an entrance, but will have full privacy and use of the top terrace. Your home base is conveniently located near the airport and midway between the villages of Placencia and the Garifuna village of Seine Bight. The beach is directly past your garden wall, where a paradise of sand and surf awaits you. A little less than a mile up the road, you'll find plenty of grocery shopping and dining. At the end of a long day in the sunshine, come into the cool air-conditioned space, sit back in the living room, and enjoy some Cable TV, free WiFi, books, or games. A soak in the cast iron clawfoot bathtub in the first bathroom helps wash away whatever worries remain, or revel in the tranquillity of the outdoor master shower. Both bathrooms are beautifully tiled and spacious. The interior of the home is open and bright, and the rooftop is a glorious place to enjoy views of the ocean and your surroundings while sipping a glass of wine. Location was Spectacular.. House was Amazing, upper level which we rented is Just beautiful. So private, private beach was just perfect. The kitchen was outstanding and the rooftop is unbelievable.. Our favorite place for sure.... Do not hesitate to book..

Does not disappoint
The view is amazing. The house and location are perfect especially the roof top. We loved viewing sunrise up there. The pingpong table and bikes were appreciated. The bed is super comfortable. The outside shower is perfect. The bedroom ac is cold!!! I do recommend renting out the downstairs too, we were lucky that noone was there and we agreed it would have taken away from the feeling of privacy if there had been someone renting the downstairs. Bring your own soap and towels. We would def stay here again!!!

You need a taxi to get to most places which are quite expensive, however we were there for the beach and it did not disappoint. Gorgeous almost completely private beach.

Casa Nettuno is in a very private location. 10 minutes from Placencia village and convenient to other restaurants as well. Nice beach lots of privacy. The only shower is outside and was great because we had good weather. No real a/c. One near the bedroom but is very average.

Private, gorgeous, home in paradise
If you want a quiet home with a private beach, this incredible property will take your breath away. We stayed for a week in October and it was heavenly. We flew into Belize City and rented a car and drove down to Placencia (3 hours) along the Hummingbird Highway. We stopped to buy fresh fruit and veggies from one of the little stands along the way and then found a little market for the essentials (coffee, dinner, beer, bottled water, juice). When we arrived at the house, we were able to put on our bathing suits and go straight to the private beach in the back. You won't want to leave! The house has a huge kitchen, spacious bedroom and bathroom with double sinks, and an outdoor shower that still gives you privacy. There is a second bathroom that is helpful if your partner goes to bed (in the air conditioned bedroom) and you're still up and about. We had coffee on the porch every morning, spent the day on the beach, enjoyed the view and a glass of wine from the top deck, and then enjoyed dinner on the deck. You can see the sunrise in every morning and swim in the crystal clear, warm water all day (don't forget the sun screen). If you want to explore, go on The Monkey River Tour (bring bug spray!), see the Maya temple ruins in the jungle, or walk down to Hobbs (The Flying Pig was closed while we were there) for a beer and a delicious dinner. There are bikes and a ping pong table, but it was too hot for us to bike around. One thing we wished we had known - if you want a cold drink on the beach, bring a cozy! It's hot and muggy so beverages don't stay cold for long. Lots of people fly down to Placencia and then rent a car locally so that's another great option. This is a beautiful home and you'll be lucky to stay here!

As first timers in Belize, we did not know what to expect. We rented a car and drove from Belize ...
As first timers in Belize, we did not know what to expect. We rented a car and drove from Belize City, so we were able to see a lot of the country on our way down to Placencia. We took the main roads, and it was a long, but safe trip. When we arrived at Casa Nettuno (a couple hours prior to check in ), the grounds keeper, quickly met us and took us on a tour of the house. Soon we realized we had a little piece of paradise all to ourselves for an entire week. The house is very private - and there are no close neighbors that you'll see while on the premises (outside of Ignacio, who lives in a separate house on the property). In front, is a very pristine beach and beautiful grounds, and in the back is the main road that leads you to downtown Placencia. The house had everything we needed for our stay, such as towels, beach chairs and cushions, kitchen utensils, etc. We took a quick trip to the grocery store in town and got everything we needed, such as coffee, bread, cereal, pasta, beer, wine. We went out for dinner or lunch, but usually stayed in for one meal a day - just to hang out and relax on the the beach or the balcony with an amazing view and breeze. Overall, it was a terrific experience. My husband and I and our two teenage girls enjoyed a week of laid back R&R. Things to note: if you are looking for a private home and serene setting, this is the place for you. Our family loves a good adventure, and we enjoyed the country, the setting, the available activities (Monkey River Tour and snorkeling, the fruit & vegetable stands sold by locals, the super casual dinners on the beach and more). But it's not like staying at a resort, with lots of tourists and every amenity under the sun. You might have to deal with an ant or a gecko in the house - and learn how to work the windows to make the most of the evening breeze. It's a home in a tropical country where there's a big mix of old and new, a lot of undeveloped land and poverty - but also a lot of culture and friendly people. We appreciated all of it and enjoyed experiencing something new. We would recommend this rental if you're looking for a comfortable getaway in a great location in the south of Belize.

Great stay - spacious and well located!
We enjoyed our stay at Casa Nettuno. The space is huge and felt great for 3 people (a couple with a friend). The house is ideal for a couple and one other person or a couple and two kids/friends. The private beach is amazing and has plenty of chairs to lounge in. The breeze throughout the house was wonderful and all windows have screens. It is also a short ride to town (less than 10 minutes). The roof top and outdoor shower are both amazing amenities! I would highly recommend staying here!

Fabulous home!
We stayed at Casa Nettuno for 8 nights in March 2019. The home is beautiful, well-appointed, and the caretaker and housekeeper were very good. The beach condition was unpredictable - some days beautiful, clean and clear; others with deep Sangrasso weed, others no weed but silty or brownish water. But that's true of that entire area and might be time dependant. The best part of that house is the patio on the roof. Beautiful views and sunsets and the perfect place to enjoy an evening cocktail before dinner. We loved our stay there.

You won't be disappointed staying here. Place was clean and beach well maintained. A small spot of paradise. Very private yet a short bike ride to the village. Had a great time there and on the water sailing and snorkeling and just laying back. Would rent again.

Perfect Placencia Rental
This place is big and beautiful! We had 4 adults (2 couples) and it was more than enough for our needs. The HUGE fully stocked kitchen was awesome for the times we didn't want to go into town. Each bedroom has its own little AC unit but really the coastal breeze was enough if you opened the windows. The outdoor shower is a must! We all used it multiple times. Placencia Village is about a 10 minute golf cart ride away, close enough to not make it cumbersome to get into town for food or entertainment. The caretaker and housekeeper were great and very accommodating. I would definitely stay here again.

An almost prefect stay, marred by having to leave, in a perfectly configured, excellently run, ideal beach property. I swam in the warm ocean, lay on the beach, slept, relaxed and recovered my mental stability.
